CHP 1: THE INTERVIEW

Y/n pov

        I rushed into the hospital room and the sight in front of me melted my heart. I saw my elder brother with tears of happiness in his eyes as he held my niece in his arms while my sister in law, seulgi looking at them with a tired smile. I walked towards hobi oppa and he smiled while looking at me. I forwarded my hands towards him wanting to hold my niece close to me.

         He came near me but before he could put the baby in my arms, we heard a loud noise which distracted us as we instinctively looked around to find it's source but the next second we were transported to a cemetery and I was standing next to a casket with my brother and niece in it.

       I was shocked, no words came out of my mouth then I heard a faint voice calling my name, "Y/n, Y/n, Y/n!!"

       As the voice got clearer and louder, I realised it to be the voice of my best friend, yoonji. I fluttered my eyes open and sat up hyperventilating. I looked around and saw me in my room while yoonji was staring at me with concerned eyes. It took me a minute to realize that it was another nightmare.

       "Y/n, here have it." Yoonji said while handing me the glass of water that was kept on the night-stand which I drank in one go.

       Neither of us said anything cause there was nothing to be said. Yoonji climbed up on the bed next to me hugging me.

      "I told you, you need to stop worrying about uncle. He's going to be fine.The more you worry, the worse your nightmares will get and I know you don't want to restart taking your sleep medication. "

"But how can I not worry?  He's being so immature and he still wants to go to that trip with oppa. Doctor strictly said that no more travelling for a few months but he just doesn't listen. I asked seulgi unnie to try and make him understand but you know his stubbornness."

         "You need to trust Seulgi, she'll convince him. Now stop worrying and go get some more sleep before the interview.  Today's interview is super important and you need sleep to function properly."

*Few hours later*

As I was doing my hair, Yoon shouts from outside, "HEY, WHO HAS TO MAKE BREAKFAST TODAY"

"ITS YOUR TURN TODAY!!",  as I shouted back at her from my room, I got a curse and the sound of something being thrown as a reply and I know her poor pillow just became a victim of her anger again.

An hour later, we were both ready and we left our apartment confident but also brimming with nervousness. 

Upon reaching, we stood in front of the massive building just staring and trying to calm our nerves before stepping in as Yoon said, "This building looks so amazing.  In pictures, it was good but now that I'm standing in front of the building, it seems like a dream come true. Like I finally feel like an adult, you know?

 "So true. This building is great. If the interview today goes well, we will be able to see this building every day."

Saying this, I dragged Yoon inside who was too mesmerized by the building but thats to be expected. Yoonji loves buildings and monuments and just anything architecture related. =y. 

After admiring the gorgeous interior of the office for 10 minutes straight, we went to the receptionist and asked her about the interview. The receptionist told us the directions and we realised that unfortunately, we had interviews in different rooms but then again it makes sense cause she's going to be finance department and I have applied for the position of the CEO's personal assistant. As someone who was soon going to become the CEO of her father's company, I needed some real life experience.
