Chapter 3 - The Pink Badge

I tried to update ASAP to make up for not updating in a while.
This chapters a bit short too but..... At least I got on out.

"Ahhhhhh!"
Steve backed away, and managed to accidentally tumble off his bed at the same time.
"Oops!" a voice squeaked, "Sorry!"
Steve stared at the figure that was floating beside his bed. It was Rana. The eyes had belonged to her frog hood apparently they can glow white. Steve frowned and stood up.
"Go away." he muttered, trying to control his frustration.
The short girl let out an unhappy look as the frog hoodie's eyes dimmed, and the black pupil became visible again. She opened her mouth to say something, but then she shut it when she spotted Steve's eyes glaring angrily at her.
Upset and angry at her actions, she landed on her feet and slowly trudged out the door, and dropped a tear. Steve stared at the door as Rana closed it behind her. Then, Steve noticed a little pink badge laying beside his bed.
"Ugh...." he mumbled, "It's Rana's. Guess I should give it back but..... Ugh...."
Steve unwillingly dashed out of his house and looked around. A little green figure was sitting down nearby on a tall hill. He hiked up the grassy lump of earth, while holding the badge in his pocket.

Steve didn't take long to climb up the hill. He heard a slight sniffing and sobbing sound.
"Rana?" he muttered.
The girl in the frog suit swivelled around and stumbled back a little. Steve held out the pink badge to her. Slowly, she wiped away her tears and started to smile.
"You DO care about me...." she whispered.
She took the badge and put it back on. Steve frowned and crossed his arms.
"No.... I was just.... ummm.... returning the..... badge....yeah...."
Rana grinned as Steve looked away. Suddenly, he tripped on a little rock. Steve stared forward in horror as he began to fall backwards. Then, somehow, he leaped high off the hill, and floated down to the ground safely, without taking any damage. Rana followed close behind him, now her normal smiling self.
