It was a sunday and Sonakshi was at her home, preparing a speech on how to tell her family about her relationship with Dev.
"Maa- Baba, mai Dev se pyaar karti hu." Sonakshi said and then groaned in annoyance.
"Sona, aise direct jaa ke bol degi toh seedha heart attack aa jaayega unko." She said to her figure reflecting in the mirror.
"Maa- Baba mai---"
"Haa, Sona beta?" Sonakshi turned around only to see her parents standing near the door.
"A-Aap d-dono yaha?" She stammered.
"Beta, tune hi toh hume bulaya tha. Bhul bhi gayi itni jaldi?" Asha looked at her confused. Sonakshi mentally slapped herself for getting so nervous around her parents.
"You can do this Sona!" She said to herself in her mind and took a deep breath before starting 'the conversation'.
"Aap dono baithiye, mujhe aap dono se kuch baat karni hai." Sonakshi said and her parents sat on the couch in her room.
"Kya baat hai Sona? Tu itni ghabraayi hui kyu hai?" Bijoy asked looking at her daughter's nervousness.
"Baba w-woh m-mai aur D-Dev......" She stopped forming a perfect sentence.
"Ek dusre se pyaar karte ho, haina?" Asha asked completing her daughter's sentence while Sonakshi looked at her mother shocked.
"M-Maa aap ko kaise pata?" Sonakshi asked while her parents bursted out laughing making Sonakshi even more confuse.
"Tujhe kya lagta hai hume dikhta nahi hai?" Bijoy asked with a mischievous smile.
"Matlab? Mai aur Dev toh sab ke saamne itna formally behave karte hai, phir kaise?" Sonakshi asked, her confusion growing.
"Haa, zaroor tumlog humare saamne formally behave karte ho. Lekin Sona, aankhe kabhi jhoot nahi bolti." Asha said.
"Ek toh aap dono paheli mein baat karna band kijiye aur saaf saaf boliye." Sonakshi said as her confusion was not getting cleared.
"Jab bhi Dev ghar aata, toh teri aankhe usse dekh kar chamak jaati hai aur Dev ki aankho mein bhi woh pyaar dikhta hai jab woh tujhe dekhta hai toh. Zyada rocket science nahi lagane ki zaroorat hai." Asha cleared her daughter's confusion.
"Jab aap dono ko sab pata tha toh aap ne mujhse koi baat kyu nahi ki?" Sonakshi asked.
"Kyu ki hum chahte the ki tu khud hume aa kar bataye." Bijot said.
"Toh.... Aap dono mere aur Dev ke rishte se khush hai?" Sonakshi asked and her parents gave her a warm smile.
"Agar khush nahi hote toh kabhi usse iss ghar mein andar aane nahi dete." Asha said and Sonakshi hugged her parents.
"You both are the best parents in the world!" She exclaimed hugging them tight making them laugh.

The whole Dixit family was gathered in the living room looking at Dev questioningly.
"Dev, tune hum sab ko yaha aise achanak se ikattha kyu kiya hai?" Ishwari asked her son.
"Mujhe aap sab ko kuch batana hai." Dev said standing up from his seat.
"Bata jo bhi batana hai." Ishwari said. Dev took a deep breath and said what he was meaning to say for sometime now.
