It's currently the morning of the day that Subaru and Emilia were suppose to meet Crusch's camp. Subaru made sure to set his alarm 1 hour early then the time Emilia would come and pick him up to go to breakfast. He made sure to put on his butler clothes just in case Emilia were to knock on the door before he completely made a plan. The plan. Which was called....
Subaru: A DATE WITH MY LITTLE BLUE DEVIL
He pulled out a small book and ploom, normally he would use these things to make date plans with Emilia or write his fantasies about her in. Of course in his world language, so no one in this world could bribe him about the things that were in it if someone were to obtain it. He starts thinking about the things Rem likes, but the problem then arrives that a lot of things Rem does has been because of her job... then another problem arrives, the only reason she was so good at most of things she do was because of her inferiority complex and wanted to catch up to her sister even though she felt like she never could. That left Subaru with the problem... he knows she likes...no loves him, but he didn't know what else she likes, which means planning a date becomes a double edge sword on whether she enjoys it, or she never wants to talk to him ever again. Although, he can't really see that happening, he made it his duty for Rem to have fun. He will succeed, he will show her his feelings at full effect.....but the saying goes.... BUT THE FACT STILL REMAINS.
Subaru: I'll have to go back.... just to have at least one thing Rem likes down.
He goes through his lives through Arc 2 and 3, even though Arc 3 there was nothing there for him to possibly tell what she would like, but he was determined so he thought about it. Then he remembered Rem speech about if they were to run away together, and the one part that sticks out, the one part that was needed for Subaru to get some sort of lead was "Maybe we can open our own shop, I'm sure we can do it with one of your brilliant ideas".
Subaru: Hmmm *Writes something down* If it shows up in her images of us, then I guess it counts. YES I GOT SOMETHING, EXTREMELY VAGUE, BUT SOMETHING. One thing she likes is creativity..... alright what else.
While Subaru was trying to recollect every single event that he ever had with Rem. He honestly felt like a piece of trash when he thought that was all he knew.
Subaru: How insensitive of a guy am I to not notice anything about such an amazing girl, who literally doesn't complain and always thinks about how I feel. But there's no time for me beating over the Bush about this.
An hour have past since he started this operation and he finally got a date plan that he really thinks is gonna make Rem really happy. So he then started perusing the other problem, her self worth. Now the reason Subaru didn't tackle this issue first was because he felt it was little hypocritical to talk about someone else not valuing himself, when he's just as bad. He didn't really know what to do, but after a while he thinks about how Rem looks up to him, how she sees him as his hero or where Subaru is getting at some kind of role model. So if he was gonna increase Rem self worth, he needed to increase his own more. The problem with that was.... did he have any reason to love himself.... what people see as belittling himself, he saw as what he does. He felt like he was the person that needed to suffer in order to save everyone, does every hero dirty work... but he knows that kind of thinking isn't gonna solve this problem.
Subaru: Rem
The only thing he could say "Rem", the only thing he could think "Rem". No matter how much he wanted to change his way of thinking Rem's smile, her tears, her eyes, her stance, her displays of affection. If he couldn't change because of himself, then he'll change his thinking for her. Standing up after a really self-evaluation, he walked out of his room and walked out the room and went through the capital. Forgetting why he was actually at the capital to begin with.
Subaru: I'm not good at picking "other" women clothing.
Yes, he really just said that, ladies and gentlemen if you didn't know already, then now you know that Subaru Natsuki has worn women's clothing before. But enough about his crossdressing addiction that is not what this story, or at least this chapter is about. He looks around the dresses and skirts to look for something that would fit Rem. Now, he did find a lot of outfits he felt would be perfect for Rem, but he always ended up blushing about the thought before dropping the idea entirely.
Subaru: Awww man, I know the capital is basically like the city, but I'll ask this anyway. WHY THE HELL IS EVERYTHING SO EXPENSIVE.
???: Oh if it isn't Natsuki Subaru
Subaru: *Looks at the person, and then looks around* Is it just you Anastasia
Anastasia: If you're referring to what I think you're then Julius isn't here.... but more importantly what are you doing in here? I would think the outfits here is out of your price range
Subaru: *Scratches his head* Yes, I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to go into the shop in the capital... but I guess I was trying to be optimistic for once.
Anastasia: Oh, thinking of getting the half-elf a gift
Subaru:....(Half-elf... well better than devil) No.... I'm getting it for....
Anastasia: *Immediately understood* OHHH, the blue hair maid *Smirks* With how highly you spoke of the half elf, what's with the change in heart
Subaru: *Learned his lesson from their first talk* *Shrugs and plays ot dumb* I don't know
Anastasia: You impress me again Natsuki, perhaps I can help you, which dress are you looking at
Subaru: *Points to one*
Anastasia: Let's make a deal shall we
Subaru: *Smiles* What kind of deal
Anastasia: If you come up with an idea that would increase the money of the Hoshin, then I promise to buy you that dress.
Subaru: So if I have an idea that not only make the Hoshin company more money and possibly more popular, you do it.
Anastasia: Of course, and if it it works well I can leave you a little extra because I'm sure whatever you're getting paid now is.... *Stops there because she was sure Subaru understood the point*
Subaru: Hmmm, well as luck would have it *Does his signature pose* I HAVE A BRILLIANT IDEA THAT WILL HELP YOUR COMPANY RISE JUST YOU WAIT
Anastasia: *Laughs* Then come so we can discuss
Subaru: (This is my first step... get ready Rem... you're gonna be so happy when I get back) *Follows Anastasia* (This is for you)
