i sit at the cafe with a latte on my table. my headphones drown out the mumbling of people and the rustling of cups. it was a beautiful day today. this cafe was always my favorite spot to come to.
i take out one of my headphones as i see my friend walk through the door. i raise my hand up slightly to let him know where i am. he walks over and fills the empty chair in front of me. "hey toga." "hey twice!" i say lifting the cup holding my latte up to my lips. "so i met this girl earlier. really cute." he says leaning onto the table. i nod and giggle slightly. "so how about you? find anyone yet?" i shake my head and look down at my hands. "t-twice you know i can't-" "toga you're young! you deserve to find love..." "not after the last time." i say looking at the cafe door as the bell jingles. in walked this girl. she was short, with brown hair, she had pink cheeks and beautiful brown eyes. she gave off a soft and loving aura. i know what i just said but i couldn't take my eyes off her. "toga?" twice says concerned. i shake my head and try to have the girl leave my mind. "nothing." he looks over and sees the girl i'm eyeing. without a blink he gets up and walks over to her. "t-twice!" i say rushing over to him and the girl. "so my friend thinks you're cute and wants your number" twice says to the cute girl. i smile as the girl looks over to me. "hi! i-i'm toga." i say slightly nervous. the girl smiles. "i'm ochako." she smiles. that smile...it could light up a room. "s-sorry about my friend he does things without thinking." i slap twice's arm and bow. "...i'm sure you don't even like girls." "actually i'm pansexual." the girl says brightly, playing with her fingers. i lift my head up. "you are?" "y-yeah. and- um- i wouldn't m-mind giving you my number." she says pulling out her phone. the case was pink with space decorations. she places her phone into my hand and blushes. "a-are you sure? i-i really don't have to" i say. she nods and smiles. i type my phone in and hand her back her phone in her hand. "well ochako-chan. i hope i get a text from you sometime" i smile. "now come on jackass," i grab twice's arm. "let's go."
i sit at my desk while twice jumps on my bed. "twice! why would you do that you know my situation!" "toga you never know! you have to live life!" "i can't live life killing the people i love!" i say as a kick the leg of my desk frustratedly. "what the fuck!" i say running my fingers through my blonde hair. "toga..." i sigh heavily. "it's okay twice i know you were trying to help." *ding* i pick up my phone and open it. 'hey it's me from the cafe today (:' i smile slightly and type out a reply. 'hey cutie, how are you?' we soon start out having a conversation. this girl was really interesting and kind. my smile broke out and i giggle at one of her jokes. "who ya texting?" "n-no one!" "toga~." "okay, okay, fine! it's...ochako" twice laughs and falls back onto my bed, springing up and down slightly. "you're already hooked!" "ya!! shut up!!"
it was now a week later. i put on my thigh high socks and slip on my vans. twice dances down into the living room and jumps on the couch. "where you going?" i stay silent and grabs my keys off the counter. "toga!" i mumble "me and ochako have a date at the cafe." "cute! want me to drive you?" "no i can walk." i say unlocking and opening the door. "i'll see you later." "bye."
i walk into the cafe and my eyes land on the brown haired girl waving me over with a smile. i skip over and sit in the chair in front of her. "hi beautiful" i say as she blushes. "hi toga-san" she says as our drinks are sat down in front of us. "how'd you know i love boba!?" i light up and look at my drink. "i...i just assumed i guess" she says smiling. i pick up my drink and take a sip. the boba was so sweet and chewy and the milk tea was so rich. "my boba is really good. wanna try some?" "sure!" i take a sip of my boba and lean over the table. i could see the flustered and confusedness on her face as a reach over and place my hand on her cheeks. she turned a bright red as a pressed my lips against hers and passed the boba into her mouth. i pull away and sit back down in my chair. "sorry if that was unexpected or if you didn't like it." i say taking another sip of my boba, ochako still red as a cherry and chewing my boba. "o-oh n-no y-yeah it was fine i- uh- enjoyed it." she says trying to hide her red face with her hands. i reach over and hold both of her soft hands into mine. "i'm really enjoying this date." i say looking into her big brown eyes while she looks back into my yellow ones. "i...i enjoyed this too. i guess you should be glad your friend came up to me." i blush slightly and let out a soft chuckle. "yeah. really glad." i say looking down at our hands and frowning slightly. she interlocks our fingers and i look up at her. "something wrong toga-chan?" my eyes dance over her face and her perfect features. it's gonna be hard to let this one go. "uh...no there's nothing wrong." i say shooting her a fake smile for reassurance.
i really hope i don't fall in love again.
