"HIYA RUSSELL! DID YOU FINISH THE ALGEBRA HOMEWORK!! I REALLY NEEDED HELP ON IT SO I WAS JUST WONDERING IF YOU COULD-" Minka blabbed on and on.
"Here," Russell despondently replied and handed his homework to Minka.
"AWWW THANKS RUSSELL!" Minka exclaimed. "You know I would have asked Vinnie but he's too busy and plus I don't even think he's that smart!" Minka whisper shouted.
"Is it just me or does the teacher not blink?" Pepper stared at Mrs. Banks, scrutinizing her.
Minka laughed at Pepper's statement but turned to look at the teacher, "You're right! She's like a zombie! She isn't blinking or moving her mouth as much as usual!"
Pepper kept staring at the teacher.
Why is that Zoe suddenly likes Digby again? Oh yeah because he's so handsome and he's a good looking dog and he's charming too! And Zoe just walked all over me and crushed me.
"Russell why are you so down in the dumps?" Penny Ling asked as she gave her homework to the teacher.
"AGHHHH! Penny Ling! What- what do you want?" Russell asked her.
"I was asking why you look so unhappy?" Penny asked him placing her paw on his shoulder.
Russell shuddered. He realized Penny Ling probably liked him still despite denying she liked him. The fact that she had made up an imaginary boyfriend named Percy was just enough to prove that she still had feelings for Russell.
"Um Russell? Is something wrong?" Penny Ling snapped her fingers.
"Huh? Oh it's just- Nothing. I gotta go to the can," Russell dismissed her and ran to the restroom.
He locked the stall and overheard two guys come inside.
"So apparently I heard that a student's dad used to work here as a gym teacher and got fired for physically harassing and sexually assaulting a girl as well as putting a belly button piercing, ripping her skin against her will," the dog named Will said.
"Really? Isn't it Zoe?" Digby asked.
"Yeah and apparently that student is some guy named Russell Ferguson son of the dad who ripped Zoe's skin. Sheesh, think I mighta seen him around. I better stay away from him. He might be dangerous, and mentally unstable and insane," the dog guffawed. Digby just looked at him with an apprehensive stare, "Yeah I guess you're right."
"Of course I'm right," Will laughed even harder. "Now come on let's go hit Hayburger I'm hungry as hell!" Will's stomach growled.
Russell couldn't believe his ears. Digby was such a bystander he wouldn't even stand up to him when Will was making fun of him!
And Will was the police dog that had told Russell and Sugar Sprinkles about the parking spot rules when the Biskit Twins tried to overtake them.
Russell came out of the bathroom and entered math class with his eyes all red. Zoe and Vinnie were in a different period, so he felt a bit relieved Zoe wasn't there.
"Russell your eyes are red! Did you cry?" Sunil asked genuinely concerned for his spiky friend.
"You could say I did. But why do you care? Why does anyone care? Maybe we should all JUST STOP CARING!" Russell yelled slamming his hands on the desk causing the floor to rumble.
The teacher stared at Russell, "Are you okay dear?"
"No, no I'm not," Russell growled.
The bell suddenly rang and all the pets got out their seats as the teacher asked Russell to come forward.
"Sweetheart, I get you're upset about something but please don't cause a ruckus in the math class cause we all want the desired effect of being able to study and continue on with our lessons, would you like to tell me what was bothering you?" the teacher smiled, placing her hands around Russell.
Russell just stood there and sighed, "Mrs. Banks I do apologize. I just had a rough day. Bullying and neglect that's all."
"Oh? Who bullied you?" The teacher asked.
"Well, I don't think it's a big deal.... I deserve it anyways," Russell began to walk away.
"Wait!" Mrs. Banks called him.
Russell turned his head and just gave his teacher a blank stare.
Before he knew what was going to happen he felt his teachers hands grab his shoulders and felt a pull as she leaned into him and kissed him.
Russell's eyes widened.
Zoe entered the room and screamed mortified, and ran out sobbing.
"Wait, Zoe!" Russell screamed trying to run after her, pushing Mrs. Banks away.
Suddenly Mrs. Banks head fell off.
IT WAS RUSSELL'S DAD!
He screamed in horror and ran out, realizing that his dad was an undercover teacher and wore a disguise. But where was the real Mrs. Banks? That's one thing he could never tell or figure out.
"Wait, Zoe!" Russell called her from afar and Zoe ran past Pepper and Sunil mingling by the water fountain.
"Leave me alone!" Zoe yelled, crying. She took her messenger bag and zoomed past the hall as Russell followed.
Russell kept on running but bumped into Will.
"AHHHH!" Will screamed realizing he saw Russell and ran away from him.
"It's no use!" Russell smacked his head.
"Russell, why is Zoe running away from you?" Pepper asked.
"Well it all started when-" Russell panicked, as he saw his dad from afar.
"RUN!" He grabbed Pepper's hand as Sunil ran behind them screaming.
They hid in the storage closet at the high school while Zoe was already in there too without their knowledge. Russell turned around and screamed. Zoe screamed. Pepper and Sunil also began to scream. They all were hyperventilating.
"RUSSELL IF YOU WANNA HAVE AN AFFAIR with a teacher over me then so be it! Just get out of my face!" Zoe spat.
Pepper and Sunil looked at each other with confusion but widened eyes.
"Zoe! I would never! Let me explain!" Russell demanded her to listen to his pleading.
"Fine, tell me your story," she hissed, crossing her arms over her hips.
"It all started when..." Russell told Zoe about how Miss. Banks was actually Russell's dad in disguise who attempted to kiss him.
Zoe scoffed, "THAT WITCH!"
Zoe attempted to open the door.
"Zoe don't go out there!" Russell begged her.
"It's too dangerous! My dad is still out there!"
"Russell, we either face him and end our pain or hide here forever like cowards!" Zoe's eyes welled up with watery tears. Russell nodded grabbing Zoe's hand. Russell grabbed Sunil's hand while Sunil grabbed Pepper's simultaneously. They dashed out the storage closet as Jerry was about to strike them all with his blade.
Pepper screamed as she let out her skunk spray and Jerry passed out.
The principal ran down the hallway yelling, "What is the meaning of all of this turmoil?!"
Russell guiltily pointed towards his unconscious dad. The principal let out a frustrated yell, "I thought we kicked him out!" "For GOOD!"
"I'm calling the police!" he announced, dialing 911.
