"She's gone! Get over it! You need to stop being weak and be the best, understood?!"

"Y-Yes, sir..."

------

Ever since Akashi's mother had passed away he hadn't been the same. He wouldn't put on a lot of effort on anything unless he was explicitly told to, so Masaomoi had enough.

"You're getting a new maid" Akashi looked up at his last remaining parent.

"Why father?"

"Because you clearly haven't gotten over your mother's death, and she could help you forget her... Think of her as a replacement or something." Akashi was fuming, how dare he talk about his mother as if she were something so easily replaceable?

"Alright, father." Not like he could do much anyway.

------

The maid had showed up sooner than expected and he had decided that he already didn't like her since she was only there to get with his father by her very obvious attempts to flirt. Due to that, he fired her not even two days later.

The cycle kept repeating over and over until his father found him an interesting maid with an interesting kid.

"Nice to meet you, Master" Both the maid and the boy bowed.

Akashi cringed but took advantage of them bowing so he could observe the boy. He looked about his age and seemed nice... He had a good feeling about those two.

"Please just call me Akashi, hopefully, we'll get along" Akashi smiled when he realized that he might make his first friend ever.

------

Akashi was indeed right since Kuroko became his best friend. Since Kuroko's mom was Akashi's personal maid she let the two of them get away with things such as staying up late and sleeping together when they missed each other too much.

They both went to school together, since Akashi shockingly managed to convince his dad that Kuroko would somehow help him with his studies, and they even played together on the playground, a place that Akashi would never let anyone go near.

And turns out they were pretty good at hiding all of that since they lasted a few years without anyone finding out, but not everything went as well as they hoped they would.

"-Has been way too close to my child!" Akashi hid around the corner and realized that his father was the one doing all the yelling.

"M-master I deeply apologiz-" He heard a loud smack sound.

"Get out. Never come back again." Akashi was worried about Hanako, that person being Kuroko's mother, so he got out of his hiding spot to look.

What he saw was a sight he wishes he wouldn't have to see again. Apparently, the sound was not Hanako getting hit, but rather Kuroko getting in the way to not let Masaomi hit his mother.

Akashi and Kuroko made eye contact, and that seemed to be Akashi's peak since one of his eyes had turned golden.

"Father, what's going on?" Masaomoi looked at his son and scoffed.

"They're getting fired since that boy and his mother have been getting too close to you." Akashi was fuming.

"His name is Kuroko, not 'boy'." Akashi's father looked quite surprised at his son talking back and when he turned to lecture him he noticed his eyes.

One pink, and another golden.

"Son, what happened?" Masaomoi worryingly asked since he thought Akashi had been hurt in some way.

"You shouldn't fire them. They're both just doing their job and you're the only one that has a problem with it." That wasn't his son, Masaomoi thought, his son was never this cold to him.

"It doesn't matter. The decision has been made and that is final," Masaomoi turned to Hanako.

"You guys better be gone before the sun sets." And with that, he left.

Kuroko pouted trying to not show his tears.

"I don't wanna leave Seijuuro..." Akashi's gaze softened.

"Tetsuya..." But Kuroko ignored him.

"It's not fair. All I did was be your friend!" Hanako had started tearing up but not as bad as Kuroko considering that the boy let his tears fall without care.

Akashi hugged him and just let him cry while Hanako proceeded to pack their stuff. Although Akashi was young, he was very mature which is why he understood he had to contain his composure for Kuroko.

Akashi walked them to the gates to say goodbye and he started tearing up as well.

"Seijuuro... My sweet boy, I hope you know that we did truly care for you... Please behave and don't give your dad a hard time, okay?" Hanako caressed Akashi's cheek and he just hugged her.

"I-I'm gonna miss you..." Hanako's heart ached.

"I-I'll miss you, t-too buddy. We l-love you never f-forget that..." And with that, she let go.

"I'll miss you too Seijuuro..." Kuroko said before hugging said boy tightly.

After saying their goodbyes they all let go and exchanged bracelets that Kuroko had made for the three of them, so they would never forget the time they spent together.

"I-I'll find you g-guys... I p-promise..." And with that, the newly fired servants left.

------

"-juro, Seijuuro!" Akashi snapped out of his trance.

"Yes, father?" Masaomoi looked annoyed.

"I said that Momoi and her friends are gonna come over, you need to start alliances with her and the people close to her since she's someone whose parents can really help out the company."

"Sure." Masaomoi was gonna say something when they heard the doorbell ring.

"I'll go get that." Akashi got up and saw Momoi.

"Hello, Akashi!" He was already getting annoyed but he had to keep the act up.

"Hello, welcome! Please come inside."

------

Turns out they were all pretty decent people and all became friends. His father had been happy with the news and decided to let Akashi go to their school so they would become even closer.

That single action had caused Masaomoi lots of harm since Akashi had finally told his friends all of what his father does and did to him back when younger.

He told them about Kuroko and how missed him and his mom a lot.

"Don't worry Akashicchi! We'll help you find them" Kise announced.

"You're our dear friend so we'll help you" Midorima also announced.

"Thanks, guys" Akashi smiled at them and realized how lucky he was to have such good friends.

Don't worry, I'll find you Tetsuya...
