Some time had passed and Kuroko, as well as Riko, joined the basketball team. Riko was a manager along with Momoi while Kuroko was on the first string with most of his friends.
"Kuro, have you talked to Kagami lately?" Kuroko muttered a 'no'.
"Well his birthday is coming up soon so we have to figure out what presents we're gonna give him," Kuroko nodded his head in acknowledgment before turning around.
"Well, do you have an idea of what we could give him?" Riko shook her head.
"Maybe we could get him a new basketball, he was talking about how one of his somehow popped" Riko nodded.
"Well, I still have to figure out what to get him though..." Kuroko looked at her.
"He said that he's been wanting some basketball shoes for a while, I can send you the picture so you could give it to him." Riko hugged Kuroko tightly.
"Thank you! You just saved my life" Kuroko was going to reply when someone interrupted them.
"Enough, love birds! We're practicing right now" Kuroko and Riko made disgusted faces.
"I'm gay," They both said at the same time.
Everyone stayed quiet for a bit and Riko narrowed her eyes.
"Are ya'll homophobic or something?" Everyone's eyes widened as they tried to explain themselves before Akashi interrupted all of them.
"They just felt bad since they made you out yourselves, that's all" Kuroko smiled at him and they all went back to playing.
------
Everyone had finished practicing when guys from the third-string decided that they should have a right to say who deserves to be in which place.
"Hey, blue head!" Kuroko and Aomine had turned around and Aomine chuckled.
"Which one?" And one of the guys pointed at Kuroko.
"He's all yours" Aomine smiled at them and left to go to the locker room.
Kuroko was confused as to why the guys wanted to talk to him since he didn't know them nor were in the first string. They all headed toward Kuroko and the 'leader' pushed him to the ground.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Kuroko knew this wasn't good, everyone was in the locker room so they couldn't see what the group was doing to Kuroko.
"I-I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean..." They all laughed at his face.
"What an idiot..." The leader shook his head in disbelief.
"You are in the first string when you can't even play, all you can do is make passes, which anyone can do if I may add" Everyone laughed, and Kuroko was hurt by their words but he would not show it, something he was great at doing.
"Makes me really wonder how you didn't make it in? Maybe it's the attitude? or the anger iss-" Someone kicked him.
"I suggest you shut your mouth if you know what's good for you," And then they all left. I guess it was the anger issues, Kuroko thought while walking back to the locker.
------
Everyone was waiting for Kuroko to change and Aomine heard the door open.
"Tetsu, what took you so lo...ng?" Aomine saw Kuroko hold his right side while his face showed the slightest bit of pain, something you wouldn't notice unless you knew him well.
Aomine walked up to him angrily before lifting up his shirt that hid the blooming bruise.
"Who the hell did this to you?" Aomine asked angrily and turns out everyone heard him since they all went to look.
