Fae glanced over at the empty port illuminated by the sunset glow and sighed. Jotting down the last words onto the paper, he lethargically packed up after doing his work for the day. Although he really did not think that working was enjoyable, it was better than staying at his cold and gloomy house.

Slowly trudging towards the bathroom to change out of his work clothes his thoughts wandered. Now that he had time to ponder about it, he felt that a monotonous life really was not suited for him.

As he advanced towards the bathroom, the empty feeling started resurfacing from the depths of his heart. "Ah... again", he sighed. The empty feeling that had plagued his heart from childhood was resurfacing. Although Fae tried his best to ignore it while he was at work, it was very prominent when he was free. He felt as if a hundred needles were poking his heart, bringing him pain and reminding him that he always lacked something in life.

It wasn't always like this. Although Fae was brought up in an orphanage, life was peaceful. He had the Dean for a parent, while the other children were his brothers and sisters.

But this blissful life didn't last long. It started when he started crossing the average age for adoption. Every time Fae saw his 'brothers and sisters' get adopted, there was a minor sting in his heart. He didn't what this feeling was, but hoped it would quickly fade away. however as time went on, the sting only grew.

Fae almost went crazy figuring out what this feeling represented. He was scared to ask anyone about this as he felt they would mock him or look down on him. At times he was tempted, his brain was telling to give in, but heart was unwilling to. Emotionally, he didn't really trust anybody. Although he was close with the orphanage family, they were not close enough to share personal problems.

So he slowly started bottling it up. He did his best to suppress the feeling whenever it emerged. nevertheless deep inside he knew, he knew that he wanted to fill that emptiness plaguing his heart.

This slowly made him desperate. So, as soon as he reached the legal age, tried out all sorts of things. From scuba diving to yoga, and even went as far as to climb a mountain without protection.

But nothing worked out. Soon he got tired of trying. If that feeling wanted to eat him, inside out. Let it. He, at the age of 26, settled for a tedious job at the port. He felt he really was a contradictory person. because again, he knew, if someone said that they would fill up the empty space in his heart, he would agree in a heartbeat. No matter the conditions.

Occasionally, he wished, a small desire that he could forget all of this and start anew, a new life, new feelings, new hope. But the wish stayed a dream till this date.

He quickly snapped out of his thoughts when he reached the cramped bathroom. It was barely the size of two regularly found bathroom stalls. He carelessly placed his bag on the counter of the washbasin and moved his hand towards the tap.

But even before he could open the tap, he felt a small vibration from it and a low rumble reverberated throughout the bathroom. At a slow pace, he felt the room sway. As it was moving.

'Wait, moving?... a ship? but the bathroom is quite far from the port and couldn't have possibly boarded a ship by accident.'. With a belly full of doubts Fae exited the room, completely forgetting his belongings.

The forgotten bag: QAQ

But instead the usual scene of people bustling about was absent. What greeted him instead was a luxurious corridor, padded with velvet on the walls. it seemed like the VIP part of the deck.

'I really entered a ship, huh. But the question is how did I, who was walking towards the bathroom, end up in a ship? I need to leave the ship before it gets too far from the coast.', Fae wondered.

Then it struck him. The port was empty.

He quickly freaked out, adrenaline rushed in his body, ready to fight the supernatural. But he quickly calmed down as fast as he got worked up. Was there any use of him panicking? Even if he did it's not like this supernatural thing will go away.

Abruptly , his thoughts moved in a different direction. Maybe this scare was what he needed? And it's not like anyone was waiting for him at home. Might as well waste some time here. And if he doesn't make it out alive, well, sad luck. He continued his train of thought as if he just hasn't taken his own life lightly.

Without warning, cheerful music resonated in the room. Fae couldn't pinpoint the origin of the tune. This put him on his guard.

"Who are you?!? show yourself! Also explain to me how I ended up here?!". Although Fae's voice rose a few notches, there was no urgency present in his tone.

[All aboard the choo choo train! All aboard the chu-]. Fae couldn't help but interrupt, "aren't you a ship?". The voice abruptly stopped and an awkward cough was heard before it continued. [ ahem, anyway, let's not sweat those tiny details. It is I, the great Sister Mila who brought you here, as for how, I set the destination from the port bathroom to mine. As you were the first person to enter, you ended up here.]

"But why bathroom ?!", Fae questioned, his anxious and agitated mask almost cracking.

[Like I said, don't sweat minor details. Anyway....], Sister Mila dragged her voice keeping Fae on his toes.

[I can help with that empty feeling in your chest], Sister Mila finished with a proud voice, expecting him to clap and praise her. Unfortunately, that didn't occur.

"Why should I believe someone who didn't even show herself?" Fae asked in a cold voice, masking the fact that he was extremely eager to do whatever the voice asked him to do in return for that offer, even something that goes against his morals.

[ I am the ship!!], Sister Mila whined.

"oh... then continued with what you were previously stating.", Fae's cold voice wavered a bit. If there was a person in front of him, Fae would have shaken the life out of them.

[che.. What a bland reaction, anyway this is not mandatory but do you want to erase your memories?]

Fae went silent for a while. He had wanted to do that quite a few times but was afraid of pain. So that idea was automatically ignored. "Yes I want to, maybe it can at least ease this horrible feeling for a while", he uttered in a voice filled with conviction.

[Didn't I tell you what you are going to do-Sighhh Okay, okay, you're the master of your life. Do as you wish.] Sister Mila replied in an exasperated voice.

With everything settled, Fae noticed that Sister Mila didn't ask for anything in return. After all, there are no free things in life. So he went ahead and questioned her.

Sister Mila replied with a laugh [ You are the first person to board me, and I have set sail. I have been set free. This is the best gift anyone can bestow upon me. Don't worry about me and live your life without regrets]

Fae would be lying if he said he wasn't touched. It wasn't that he hadn't been treated nicely but it was the amount of sincerity he perceived in her voice.

A fit of giggles rang out [ Silly child, why are you still standing. Go left and take the stairs upwards. From there you can pick any room to rest in till we reach our destination.]

Fae's face turned red with embarrassment. He was so engrossed in his conversation that he was still standing a few feet in front of the bathroom.

He scurried to the area Sister Mila mentioned and picked the first room he saw. As soon as he entered, he jumped onto the bed and snuggled in comfortably. Fae was exceptionally tired. He first stood under the hot and dry sun for the whole day then spoke with a talking ship who declared that she would help out with his most desired wish.

Fae didn't know why but he had unconditional trust in the voice. His instincts told him to trust her, so he did.

Fae unhurriedly drifted off into dreamland, tired but excited.
