After the long-ass ride, they finally arrived at their camp. Rick Grimes parked the car behind a trailer. A smile formed on Adelaide’s lips when he saw the vehicle that Glenn drove to divert the walkers earlier. She saw the other members of their group, too, anticipating them.
“Home sweet home,” She whispered, then she turned her to Rick.
Rick lets out an audible sigh, and then Adelaide patted his shoulder, which made the man look at her.
“You’ll find your family soon,” She smiled, “I’m pretty sure that idiot over there—” Adelaide said, referring to Glenn, who stands not too far away from them. “—will offer his help. I will too, I promise.”
Rick returned Adelaide’s smile with a sad smile. “Thank you,”
The woman pursed her lips in a smile, got out of the car, and directly ran towards Glenn’s arms to hug him. She felt Glenn almost lose his balance, but thanks to Amy’s assistance, the duo didn’t collapse on the ground.
She saw how upset her brother is just by looking at his face. His eyebrows are raised and his hands are on his hips. Adelaide tried her best to avoid Shane’s daggering stares and proceeds to walk towards Carl. Carl is the child of Shane’s dead best friend Adelaide never heard of her brother mentioning the kid’s father’s name. The kid, along with his mother, Lori, was with the Walsh siblings as the apocalypse occurred.
