Darkest Dungeon

Chapter 1 Awakening

It all started with what I thought was just a strange dream but quickly turned into a nightmare but before I get to far ahead of myself I guess I should start from the beginning. My name is Clement Poole and this is my story.

As i take off my vr headset after a long gaming grind i decided that it was time to head to sleep so i sat my headset down on my desk and got up to get in bed as i was walking to my bed i tripped myself and fell and hit my head on the floor it had my head pounding but after my head finally stopped hurting i climbed into bed and quickly fell asleep. A light show a bright and colorful and the aurora borealis lights up the darkness of my dream and i hear a voice it asks me "Do you want to be a hero?" I replied with a simple "no" it just flashes for a moment before asking another question "Do you like the ocean?" To which I replied "yes" it then said " This is my final question name a place where you could find peace" I replied honestly "just a tiny forest" the lights flashed brightly after I gave my response then it all went completely black.

I wake up on my back with a pounding headache so I rub my head but something just doesn't feel right so I open my eyes and notice I'm in a clearing in a forest with a river flowing next to me I quickly sit up in a panic then I noticed the hands I was rubbing my head with was not exactly hands at all but 2 short and stubby pink arms with a single claw at the tip I just sit there staring at them in complete confusion I say out loud "I guess I'm still dreaming after all" I look down curious to see what else could be wrong with me since my arms look like this so I look down and noticed two more stubby limbs that looked just like my arms and I thought well great how am I gonna get around on these things so I tried to stand up straight only to fall over then I tried standing on all for limbs and it worked like a charm but then a thought came to mind man it's gonna suck to walk around with these short ass legs I walk over to the edge of the river and look down at the water to get a better idea of what I've become and what I see looking back at me scares me for a second I have large vacant looking eyes curled ears and a round tan colored muzzle on a fat round litte pink body I scream "I'm a pokemon!"
