Luna's POV
"Ugh what the fuck", I groan at the sound of my alarm going off for the third time. Lazily turning over and groaning loudly I hit snooze. After laying there for 10 minutes I eventually got up. I have to search through the comforter to find my phone and when I do I see a message from Harry that reads, 'Good morning. I had a lot of fun last night.' Smiling as I open my phone to respond, I start making coffee. We have a pretty random conversations about our plans for today. After I finish making coffee I finally decide to start getting dressed. I decided on a cute floral-ish crop top with flowy sleeves and a pair of blue plaid pants. Also adding black faux leather belt and white leather ankle boots.
After brushing my teeth and adding jewelry I'm almost ready to leave. Dreading it I have to put everything back in my purse. While I'm locking the door one of my neighbors is coming home.
"Hey Lizzie", I say, trying not to sound rude. If I'm being honest she's a total bitch.
"Oh hey Luna", she says, sounding snarky.
As soon as that awkward conversation was over I'm down the stairs. Following out the door after someone I find the unexpected. It's pouring rain. Yay now I get to run to lunch. I decided on a cute little local cafe. Looking at the menu I have no clue what I'm gonna order.
I end up getting an iced coffee and a croissant. Went to sit and there were no open tables, yay my day is going great. Finally deciding that I'm gonna wait out the rain a table opens up. I'm quick to it but at the same time someone else makes it too.
"Funny seeing you here", says a voice in front of me.
I look up and to my surprise it's Harry, "Oh hi what are you doing here?"
"I guess the same thing you are", he says while laughing and holding what he ordered.
"Do you, maybe um, wanna stay and talk or something", I ask nervously, not sure how he'll respond.
"Sure. How has your day been?", he asks.
"Shitty and it's only just started", I responded without holding back.
He laughs at my response and says, "Yeah?"
I laugh too before saying, "Yeah sadly how about you."
"Me too," he says with a fading smile.
Our conversation ended and we're kind of just sitting here staring at each other. One minute we're staring and smiling next thing I know we are laughing our asses off. Looking around pretty much everyone is looking at us. We start up a few more random conversations on the spectrum of why we live in the city to our favorite place to vacation.
To be honest I don't know how long we talked for but when we left it was lunch time. No idea what I'm gonna do with the rest of my day. I think I just wanna go back home but I also don't want this to end.
"I think I'm gonna head back home. I had a great time though", I say trying to sound as polite as possible.
"Oh okay, can I walk you", he asks.
"Um sure I guess, it's just down there and around the corner", I say while pointing to the end of the road.
We start walking and it's quiet. Maybe a little too quiet. As we're walking I'm looking at the people around us. For it being lunchtime the city it's not very busy. Halfway through our walk I feel something brush against my hand. I look down to see Harry trying to subtly start holding my hand. I laugh.
He looks down and laughs too before saying, "Something funny?"
"Yea you acting like a shy teenager", I say. I barely got that out without laughing my ass off along with Harry. At this point we can't go anywhere together without making everyone stare at us. We look like idiots.
When we finally arrive at my place he offers to come up but I, even though I don't want to, say no.
"I know you're probably tired of me by now but would you want to have dinner tonight", he asks, smiling shyly.
"Um sure.", I say feeling excited.
"Okay I'll pick you up at seven", he says casually.
I smile at his words for a second before saying, "sounds great see you later."
God I am so excited for tonight.
