My head is aching, parang mababasag ito. I wanna cry so bad. I never had this kind of headache until now.

Dahan-dahan kong iminulat 'yong mata ko at bumungad sa akin ang pamilyar na puting kisame.

My eyes are hurting and still adjusting on the surroundings. My vision gets blurry everytime I try to open my eyes. Naisipan kong ipikit muna saglit 'yong mga mata ko at baka nabigla lang dahil sa ilaw na mula sa kwarto ko.

It didn't take that long when I finally opened my eyes fully. I scanned the surroundings only to find out that I'm in my room. I saw my brother sleeping on the couch right next to my bed.

Dahan-dahan ko namang iniangat ang sarili ko para hindi siya magising. It seems like it was a bad idea since my head started to throb when I forced my self to get up and everything feels like moving. Nothing is steady. Nahihilo ako sa nakikita ko, nakakasuka.

Hindi ko maintindihan 'yong narardaman ko ngayon. Gusto kong matulog pero kakagising ko lang. Gusto kong tumayo pero nahihilo ako.

Isinandal ko 'yong ulo ko sa headrest. I stayed in that position for like three minutes when I decided to just get up.

Nang makatayo na ako ay nagising naman agad 'yong kuya ko.

Ang bilis naman magising. Tumayo lang 'yong tao eh.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked. He gently rubbed his hands as he stood up and approached me. When he finally reached me, he checks every inch of me.

"Your temperature isn't going down. You look pale" he observed, feeling pressured on what I'm feeling.

"Kuya relax. I'm on my first day of period. Dysmenorrhea lang ata 'to. I had a severe cramps earlier... 'yong tinulungan ako ni Leo" I explained weakly.

I just got my period last summer and I experienced an extreme period cramps when I first got it. Halos mahimatay rin ako no'n. Probably the reason why I'm feeling really nauseous right now.

"What do you like to eat? How's your head?" he asked.

"My head's still throbbing, pero hindi na gano'n ka sakit." I said tying my hair.

When he saw me struggling, he did it himself. Masuyo niyang inayos 'yong buhok ko as he tied it all in a bun.

"Anong oras na kuya?" tanong ko.

"It's 11 in the evening. You should take your dinner. Lutuan kita. What do you want?" he gently caressed my cheeks when he's done tying my hair.

"I hope you get well soon. Rest here instead of going to school tomorrow." he suggested.

I looked at him. I'm really lucky to have an affectionate brother like him. Simula noong wala na 'yong papa namin, siya 'yong pumalit. He's really patient and I can't stop thanking him for being a gentle and caring brother.

"I'll be down in a bit kuya. I'd like to have fried rice though, with half-cooked egg." he leaned as he planted a soft kiss on my temple.

"I'll be quick sweetie. Go and make your self comfortable." he said as he left my room.

Nag bihis ako ng mas komportableng damit saka umupo sa kama. While zoning out, nahagip ng paningin ko 'yong cellphone ko sa bedside table. Kinuha ko 'yon at wala sa sariling binuksan.
