you moved your fingers, that's when i started crying. you were alive...i could help you but all you did was refuse. one last time he counted the freckles on my face one by one and for the first time in my life i wish there were more of them. all i could do was smile. "dont smile at me like that" he said "why" i answered. "because it makes me regret leaving this world" his words could barely come out of his mouth and his hand dropped. "i love you forever" he took his last breath. you said you would spend the rest of your life with me and you did, unfortunately i cant live the rest of my life with you. your death hurt me dazai but what hurt me even more was the realisation that you died inside a long time ago and i was too blind to see that. i lost you long before you left this earth, i understand that now. you told me "i want to be with you until the end of time." i wish we were running by the same clock. i knew a soul as tired as his needed a rest. sleep well my love.
