Chapter 6

"Jess, I really wish I could tell you why I did that, but at this moment love, it's best for you not to know so that I'm not putting your life in danger. Believe it or not, you're the first girl in my life other than family, that has meant something to me. Yeah, I've kissed girls and fucked a few, but you are special. And for that reason I can't risk telling you."

My heart warmed at hist words. I know he is hiding something, but I am going to trust him and not question him any further. I felt a smile slowly creep on my face and the next thing you know, I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him into a tight embrace. He returned the gesture by wrapping his arms around my torso. We stayed there for a while and then finally pulled away.
"Can we at least go back and get our food?" I asked.
"I'll get our food from inside. We can eat it in my car." I just nodded. That's when it hit me how fancy Zayn's car was. He had a BMW 735i . I wonder what he does to earn.
Zayn came out of chipotle with our food and we ate in his car. We had small talks every couple bites of food. When we were finally done, Zayn threw our trash away and paid for the food.

"Sorry I kind of ruined that lunch" Zayn said.
"It's okay, I'm still happy we are going out on Friday" I smiled looking at him. He doesn't even have to try yet he looks so good. He returned the gesture.
We finally reached campus and Zayn said goodbye to me and I did the same. I decided to attend my last class and leave campus with Bryn. I've never been a curious person so the whole incident with Zayn today kind of slipped out of my mind

Zayn's POV
"Hey Mate" I said to Liam.
"Hey, how's that girl you've been with recently?"
"Don't ask, I fucked up so bad today"
"Why?" This is why I like liam so much, he genuinely cares for everyone.
"Nick showed up at the restaurant I was in and I was with Jessica." I ran my fingers through my hair. I often do that out of frustration.
"What?! Did you tell Jessica about him?"
"No I didn't, and she seemed understanding about it. I can't dare put her in any trouble"
"Ok don't worry mate, we will figure it out" Liam assures.
"Thanks Liam"
I heard my phone ring, I checked the caller ID and froze in my tracks. It was that fucking bastard Nick. I took a deep breath and picked up the phone.
"What the hell do you want Nick?" I spit with venom in my voice.
"I recommend you calm down if you want to have this conversation in a civil manner."
I chuckle at his words "look who's talking"
"Zip it Malik, I just wanted to tell you that I saw you with a girl today. Who is she?"
"None of your business, Foster."
"Actually it is. I really hope you haven't told her anything, because we have a meeting on Friday at 7:00. I was just hoping you didn't have any plans with that special someone." My blood went cold. Friday was my date with Jessica. He did this on purpose. He overheard us talking at chipotle.
"Oh and if you don't come, special someone will be hurt." and with that, he hangs up.
