as I was saying, why were you staring at me? You almost gave me a mini heart attack, said Emily as she lowers her thumb and finger too close almost touching each other to indicate how close I was giving her a mini heart attack.

I'm sorry. It won't happen again go back to sleep and good night I took off my shoes and made myself comfortable in bed, switching the lamp next to my bedside drawer. Tears rolled from the corner of my eyes making my pillow wet as my head rest on the pillow. I wish it was easy for me to just tell him how I feel about him. I don't wanna carry this feeling in me I just can't bear it anymore, I'll tell him in the summer holidays, my eyes slowly closing shut.

It was finally Summer the moment I have been waiting for finally arrived. I'll read more books and get a part-time job, I can't believe my life is so plain. I'm glad I'm not alone this summer not like before now I have Emily and...and Jake by my side.

We packed our things and left. Jake was coming too, I guess they are childhood friends so why do I care anyway plus I can tell him how I feel. Of course, I told my mom that I'll be spending the summer with my friends she was happy for me.

We went in the car. The bags are loaded in the trunk, my forehead on the glass window thinking when am I going to get a chance to tell Jake how I truly feel about him Alice, are you alright. Emily said turning from the passenger seat to reach her hand and gently touching my knee.

I pulled my face away from the glass, looking at her hand following her arm and rite at her face I glanced at her eyes yeah...I'm alright

let me change your mood, she said as she turns the volume high to listen to the song that was playing on the radio music will always make you happy . Dancing on her seat flipping her hair like how cats do after they get wet.

Emily was right. I was dancing and singing, my mood immediately changed into a positive one. We finally came to our destiny. Jake comes out of the car going around the car finally he is being a gentleman, I knew he had a place for me in his heart, I thought to myself.

Jake opens the door for Emily and forgets about me as if I never exist. Who the hell does he think he is? What a jerk. I opened the door roughly my teeth pressing hard against each other, slamming the door hard to remind them I still exist. come over here  Alice, let me give you a tour! said Emily telling Jake to get our belongings.

Emily show me the boring stuff like the picture frames on the wall, I needed something like the view and to check on the rooms.
Finally, it was time for her to show me the rooms Emily! Jake calls from downstairs. Emily ran off to see what was the problem leaving me behind. Fine, I'll check the rooms for myself, I walked to the first room it was huge and looked so beautiful not even my room looks like this, I guess she might be that rich. Lucky she, she doesn't have to work hard to live.

I walked to the balcony that is attached to the room. My mouth was wide open my jaw dropped, and what I saw made me get goosebumps. wow!... This is legit! I never knew Emily lived a perfect life this view that I'm seeing right now is so perfect, not gonna lie it's like I'm in paradise.

Jake stands next to me running his hand in his hair. yes, now is the chance to tell him how I feel I said in my head Jake... before I could finish my sentence Emily barged in offering cookies.

anyone? said Emily. The cookies looked so tasty I couldn't resist.

i want one! Jake and I said it at the same time. I wasn't expecting that to happen. The cookie tasted so good I drooled on my top I was lucky no one saw that happen.

Alice. You were about to say something before... Jake barely finishes, before he could finish it I knew what he was about to say no it was nothing I said smiling at him. He directly stares at my teeth, I was wondering why.

My heart skipped a beat. This is so embarrassing I don't think I'll even smile anymore. I went to the bathroom and quickly look at my teeth in the mirror rinsing them with water. As I came out of the bathroom I heard kissing and giggling sounds from the balcony. are they making out I said quietly to check up on them. I walked as fast as I could but before I could even catch them I dropped a picture frame. when I saw them they were not even close enough to kiss each other, It was all in my head, were they making out? Emily would never hide this from me or is she?
