Tw - minor use of guns (they only use nerf guns this chapter though lmao), swearing
"And there she goes- she's jumped off the block! Now she's running down the course - come on Jade you got this!"
The deep voice boomed from the speaker. Jade gritted her teeth and she raced up the foam stairs 3 at a time. Training was one of her favourite things to do, mainly because it was the closest she had ever gotten to a real mission. She stood on the 10 foot high foam block and fired her gun towards her target, who rolled out of the way. Cursing under her breath, she realised that her enemy had made their way to the bottom of the stairs, running up to get her. She took a deep breath and leaped forward off the block, and that was when everything went wrong. The long braid in her hair flew into her eyes, before tangling around her nerf gun.
"Shit," Jade muttered as she landed of the floor with a loud thump. The rest of the gang standing around the arena inhaled suddenly. And before she knew it, Jade had a gun pointed at her as she lay helplessly on the floor. She raised her hands to either side of her head, dropping her gun, giving her enemy a murderous look.
"End!" The voice on the speaker yelled.
The man in front of her removed his mask as she removed hers, rolling her eyes.
He sighed, "I told you Jade, stop wearing that stupid braid in your hair. It's not going to make anyone's life better, but instead it's going to kill you." He said, offering her a hand to get up.
"I know Sapnap," she said, grabbing his hand, "But I want to wear it and technically no one can stop me."
Sapnap shrugged and walked the opposite direction from her into one of the stalls. Jade stomped away as well and opened a gate, leading her to the rest of the gang. She made her way over to her friends, Quackity, Ranboo and Tubbo.
"Jade it's alright! You did great," Assured Ranboo, giving her a hug.
"Yeah! And I think the braid looks awesome anyways!" Tubbo said smiling. Quackity gave her the thumbs up, however she could tell he was stressed - it was his turn next to fight.
"Thanks guys! Let's just hope Big Q has a more successful run." She smiled. Quackity gave her a sideways smile in return as he wrapped on bandages around his hands and arms, before raising his gun.
"Oh you bet!" He laughed. "Imma kick their ass." He stated proudly. The rest of us snickered.
"Quackity vs. Karl!" The announcer yelled.
"Wish me luck," he said.
"GOOD LUCK!!!" Tubbo yelled across the arena.
The fights continued into the evening, some people cheering for each other, others arguing that there was an unfair play. However Dream, the leader of the gang, only ever said the same thing: "When your friend actually gets shot in the middle of a heist, are you gonna go up to the shooter and tell them that there was an 'unfair play?' No, all's fair in love and war." Jade noticed that after he said 'love' he looked over towards George-...
By the end of the games, the only one who was successful in their group was Ranboo. Tubbo was shot within the first minute of the fight, resulting in a bruised shoulder. And Quackity, despite his bold claim of winning, couldn't even land a single shot on Karl before running around a corner and being stopped by Karl's gun.
As they walked down the corridor to their dorm rooms, Quackity was complaining.
"Ranboo only won because he's like 8 foot!" He cried, throwing his hands in the air.
"I'm actually 6'7," Ranboo chuckled.
"Same thing!" Quackity laughed.

At around 8:30, Jade had finished dinner and was lying on her bed, unable to sleep. She normally wouldn't be in bed so early, however Dream had said there was an announcement for tomorrow. Nobody ever dared to disagree with Dream, even though absolutely nobody could sleep, including Dream himself.
Jade saw her phone light up as there was a notification from Sapnap on their group chat:

So much for Dream telling us to sleep early, he's still wide awake talking to George🙄

Jade looked up at Tubbo who slept on the other side of the room. They both stared at each other for a second before starting to laugh hysterically. Suddenly, there was a *beep* from their phones and they looked down again.

Jade heard Tubbo practically cackling from the other side of the room, which woke both Ranboo and Quackity up.
"Sorry guys," Tubbo apologised, still smiling.
Jade sighed, placing her phone under her pillow and closed her eyes, before falling into a deep sleep. Little did she know that from tomorrow her life was going to change forever...
And that's a wrap!
I know not much happened in this chapter, but I just wanted to get the hang of writing :)
