This is my take on season 3 of Once Upon a Time. Leave a comment and I hope you enjoy!

(Btw, Neal was not 'shot through a portal' in this version)

Killian's POV

8 days. That's how long it's been since Henry was kidnapped. I have only been thinking about one person for the duration of these 8 days. A person who made me want to change. A person who showed that I am capable of love again. A person who enters my dreams every time I close my eyes.

And that person is none other than Emma Swan.

I have loved her from the moment that she came into my life. Every thought of revenge was gone when I had met her. She was nothing like Milah. She was something else. Strong, stubborn, ambitious, and breathtakingly beautiful.

My thoughts are interrupted by a loud grunt of pain. I look up to see Neal holding his jaw in pain and Emma glaring at him. I lower the anchor and walk over to them.

"What happened?"

"She punched me, that's what happened!" cried Neal.

I tried not to laugh, but failed miserably. He gave me the dirtiest glare and opened his mouth to say something, but got interrupted by Snow, Dave, Rumpelstiltskin, and Regina walking toward us. I stopped laughing, but let out a small chuckle.

"What's going on here?" asks Snow.

"Emma punched me," says Neal. Emma shot him a glare.

"Well, you tried to kiss me." This fills me with anger. How could he treat her like that?

"I thought you loved him, Emma," says David.

"Yeah, Dad. I loveD him," she says, emphasizing on the 'D'.

"Ouch," says Regina.

I walk over to Emma, ignoring David yelling at me to "stay away from his daughter".

"You alright, love?" I ask her, keeping a distance. As much as I despise it, I'm kind of scared of Dave.

"Yeah... It's just, I've moved on. He just can't except that," she says. "Besides, I don't think I'm gonna date anyone anymore."

I feel dark, icy hands grab my heart. But I just nod and walk away. I have never felt like this. Not even when Milah died. I felt empty. Alone, in a sea of darkness, with nothing but my pain and tears.

I make my way to a bench and take out my rum. After a few sips, I feel the presence of someone else beside me. I look over to see Regina sitting next to me.

"I heard what she said," she says. I roll my eyes.

"Wonderful. Are you here to make it worse?" I ask.

"No, I came here to say I know how it feels."

I give her a look. "I didn't know you were sentimental."

She glared. "I'm not. But I had the same look in my eye when Daniel died."

I shrug. "It's not the same. She said that she didn't want me. Daniel actually loved you."

"She said she was off dating," says Regina. "Besides, I have seen miss Swan bluff before."

"It wasn't a bluff."

"I'll take that bet."

I scoff. "We are not betting on my life."

She ignores me. "So, where are the bedrooms on this boat. I'm going to turn in early."

"We haven't decided where everyone's gonna sleep," I say.

"Hey idiots!" yells Regina. "Come here!"

Everyone makes there way toward us. I try not to make eye contact with Emma and Neal.

"Well, there are 2 king size beds and a bunk bed. Who wants what?" I ask.

Snow and Charming took the one of the king sized beds and Regina and Rumpelstiltskin took the bunk beds. Which left me, Emma and Neal.

"Me and Emma can take the bed and you can take the chair," says Neal. Emma wrinkles her nose.

"Never in a million years. You're on the chair," she says.

"Fine," says Neal.

"Man up son. No one likes a sore loser," says the Crocodile.

"I'll take the floor, Swan," I say. "Or I'll stay up."

"It's alright, Hook. I can sleep on the floor."

"Too late. I already took the floor," I say. She sighs and gives me a warm smile. I smile back. Neal scoffs.

"If you three are done, I'm getting some sleep," says Regina, retreating to her room.

Everyone does the same. Soon, it's just me and Emma in the Captain's quarters.

"Goodnight Swan," I say, lying on the floor.

"Goodnight Ho-Killian," she says.

I could almost swear I heard her say 'I love you'.

. . .

I dreamt of Emma that night. We were walking together in a field of beautiful pink flowers. She was laughing and smiling and looked happier then I've ever seen her. And there was something else. It was a dagger. The dark ones dagger, to be exact. But it had a different name on it.

Emma Swan.

The sound of screams tears me away from my dream. I wake up to see Emma shaking and crying. She was have a bad dream.

I wake her up. "Emma. Emma!"

She gets up with a jolt. I suddenly realise how close I was to her and back away. But she pulls me closer.

"Are you alright, Swan?"

She nods and looks right at me, her emerald eyes gleaming in the moon light.

"Stay with me," she says, her voice barely a whisper.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"I'm sure."

I lie down next her. She placed her head on my chest closed her eyes. I place a small kiss to her head. This felt right. Her being in my arms, holding me close. I wanted her to feel safe with me. To trust me. And if I'm lucky, love me.

I close my eyes and sleep takes over me.
