Chapter 12

"Rishi!" Rakhi exclaimed as her son fell down with his blood pooling around him and the next person to go out was Mahi who fell on the floor just after him.

Both of them were rushed to hospital, the whole family was infront of the OT right now. Riva was leaning on the wall with tears in her eyes, what is happening in her family.

Her trance broke when the doctor stepped out of the OT.

"Doctor wo Rao sa" She asked as he nodded and signed her to follow him. Entering in his cabin he gestured for her to sit down and then sat down himself.

"Dekhiye unki halat bahot nazuk hai goliyan direct spinal nerver par lagin hai aur blood loss bhi bahot hua hai ese mein.....ese mein unke bachne ke chances bahot kam hain" He said and she shattered right there.

This cannot be happening, she is going to really loose him forever? How will she tell everyone else? What about Mahi?

"Doctor wo Mahi...."

"Chhoti rani bilkul thik hain, balki she is pregnant"

And with that tears slipped out of Riva's eyes, great now how in the world is she gonna tell this to everyone? Especially Mahi.

She walked out of the doctor's cabin not mentally present here. The doctor's words are ringing in her ears on repeat.

"Riva" Her trance broke when Rakhi held her shoulders bringing her back to reality. She looked at her and hugged her tightly.

"Kya hua? Aap ro kyun rahi hain?" Rakhi asked as she cried more and pulled away after a min or so.

"Maa wo..." And she explained everything to her  from Rishi's condition to Mahi's pregnancy. The news shook Rakhi to core as she tried to soak in the information.

"Chhoti rani ko hosh aagya hai" A nurse said and Riva was the first one to rush inside.

"Di" Mahi said in a feeble whisper as Riva sat beside her caressing her hair.

"Kya hua tha? Hum yahan kyun hain? Aur Rao sa kahan hain?" Her questions made Riva realize that it was indeed Maya behind all this, they need to get rid of her soon.

"Kuchh nahi bas behosh ho gayi thi, aap aarma kariye" Riva replied and Mahi nodded in agreement not having the strength to argue.

The days went by and Rishi's condition became worse, while Mahi was brought back home and was been taken care of by Riva.

Right now, she was lying down with her head in Riva's lap as the latter caressed her hair softly. She has a bad feeling, like something is up, something very bad is coming.

Mahi got up and went to change in her traditional attire since they have to go down any minute now. Riva's intentions came true and when a servant entered the room with a grim expression.

"Badi rani.....rao...rao sa nahi rahe" And everything shattered, sobs left her mouth as the news of her husband's death sank in.

She jerked around hearing a soft thug and shattering sound to find Mahi standing there, the clothes and bangles she was holding slipped from her hand resulting in those sounds.

"R...Rishi.." Was all she whispered
