Later that night Bucky was still in the lab watching over Daniela as she slept peacefully, he continued to stare at all of her old bruises and cuts all over her body he didn't have to imagine the pain she's been through because he lives with it he knew what it was like to live and stay at Hydra.
And he hated the fact that they were doing this to children. Taking them away from their families and turning them into their own slaves.
He didn't even realize the time when he looked over at the clock it was 12:00 a.m. and he decided that he would call it a night. He looked over at Daniella one more time just to make sure she was safe and breathing before walking out of the lab to his room.
His room wasn't that far away from the lab Just four doors down so if Daniela ever needed him he could always be there. He didn't know why he felt like this towards this young girl I mean yeah his memory wasn't that good but sometimes he would get random memories he didn't even know he still had.
Time skip - 3 a.m.
Bucky woke up in a panic he felt his breast become heavy and the anxiety creeping up his spine he usually would wake up like this remembering all of the awful things he did at Hydra. he wiped the sweat from his forehead and sat completely straight on the edge of his bed.
Trying to calm down from his panic before it fully took over. He finally decided to get up and walk to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and also to clear his head. As he was walking past the lab he heard a sound coming from the lab doors.
He stopped this tracks and stood completely still listening for the sound again when he heard it again, it sounded like crying then he remembered Daniela.
He pushed open the lab doors and scan the room for the girl he did not see her on the small bed Banner set up for her.
It was only until he heard the cry again and saw her body was curled up in the corner. She had blood dripping from her feet which he connected to the broken glass that was on the floor.
She continued to cry and held her legs close to her chest, bucky saw that she pulled away from the machines leaving a few cuts on her arms where they were connected to.
He walked over to the young girl and kneeled down "shhh it's okay Detka, what's wrong?" She looked up at him with tears in her eyes and big red puffy cheeks. She then looked back down and Bucky sigh.
"Did you have a Nightmare?" he asked breaking the silence and trying to figure out what's wrong. She nodded yes and let another tear slide down her cheek.
Bucky rub the back of his neck he didn't know what to do he never done this before... So he thought. Daniela looked up at the men in front of her and saw that he was looking at the deep cut on her feet.
She pulled them closer to her body out of his sight and turned more into the corner. " That looks deep, does it hurt?" she didn't answer.
Bucky sigh again "let me fix that up okay?" He asked hoping she wouldn't move from the corner for some reason he hated seeing her crying and in pain.
She nodded and inched away from the corner Bucky held out his hand for her to take it she hesitated for a moment before placing her hand in his. He walked her from the ground and set her on the bed.
He then went over to the cabinet and found some Band-Aids then walk back to the girl and started to bandage her feet. He noticed and Daniela staring at him but he didn't question it you just gave her a small smile and finish bandage her up.
"All better" he said after he finished. She move her feet away from him and started to swing them. They both sat in silence until Bucky said "do you want to talk about it.. um.... Your nightmare I mean"
She shook her head no and continue to swing her feet. It was when Bucky noticed her rubbing her eyes sleepy
"are you sleepy?" She nodded yes
" Do You want to stay with Me?" She looked up and said "okay" in a whisper. She got up off the bed and followed Bucky down the hall to his room.
"Okay um... You can have the bed and I'll sleep on the floor" he said as he pointed to the bed.
Daniela walked over to the bed and got in. Bucky knew she probably wasn't used to having a bed at Hydra so this was all new for her. "It's okay it's safe" he said as he saw her hesitate before nodding and climbing in.
He saw her smile at the new feeling of comfort and she looked over at him patting the other side of the bed for him. He was hesitant at first but he knew this was a fight he couldn't went and climbed in anyway.
He looked over at Daniela fast asleep cuddling onto his side, he finally smiled at the feeling and fell asleep to totally forgetting about his own nightmare.
