Ranboo had followed Wilbur as he cuts through grass on the way to Erets museum. Wilbur always liked to talk about L'Manburg, talking about how amazed he is about how much damage he's done, or what he thinks he's done. He's definitely missing a few details but Ranboo enjoys to just sit back and listen, considering his small knowledge of L'Manburg. Or at least the stuff he remembers is a small amount.

They entered the museum and in the middle is the old van that had started it all. The beginning. It's very weird to think about, really. Such a small thing leads to big chain events. How little can do so much damage. Ranboo thinks it's safe to say the small van had caused all of his friends and husbands trauma. He checked up on Tubbo the night before, he seemed really off after telling Ranboo about how he had another "dream". He never goes into detail about these dreams, which is concerning but knowing Tubbo he doesn't like opening up unless he felt the need to, which wasn't very often up until today when  Wilbur and Ranboo had went to visit what people now call "Lmanhole".

Opposite side of the now overgrown crater was Tubbo in his old suit, playing the L'Manburg anthem  on his ukulele. Ranboo finds Tubbo visiting what was L'Manburg often, but never touching anything from the time era. It's kind of an indicator to Ranboo that Tubbo was pondering on the past. Ranboo forces himself out of his memories from today and knocks on Tubbo's door, hoping he was still awake. He wants to make sure he's okay after dismissing his help from earlier today.

The snow slowly fell on the ground as it always does, getting caught in the fur at the end of Ranboos tail. He waits for a response, but is only greeted by the sound of the quiet breeze. He knocks again. "Tubbo?" He calls hoping maybe he just didn't hear the knocking. His hearing hasn't always been the best after all. Ranboos mind starts to fill up with worries and anxiety. If one thing comes to another he could just walk in but Tubbo usually wants to be left alone when sad but he can't help but feel the need to check up on him. It was kinda his job as Tubbos husband.

He takes a long breath in before he opens up the door himself. The lights in the kitchen and living room were off and the room was empty. Ranboo quietly closes the door behind him and slowly makes his way over to the ladder up to Michaels room in hopes Tubbo was up there. Before he could get close to the ladder Tubbos head pops up from the trapdoor to the basement, alerted by the sudden footsteps on the floor above him. "Ranboo it's past midnight what are you doing?" Ranboo can feel himself heat up nervously as Tubbo fully climbs up the ladder leaning against the wall arms crossed. He's obviously upset but Ranboo did knock.

Ranboo wasn't sure where to start he didn't want to further upset him but was also worried. "I was just checking up on you, I dunno." Ranboo mumbles. Tubbo was still wearing the suit from today, his messy hair covering his eyes. "I said I was fine, Ranboo."

"But you were crying- I don't know about you but that's one of the furthest thing from okay." Ranboo protests hoping it would change something. "And I was worried I mean you usually never touch any of the clothes or stuff from back then and I mean.." He waves his hand up and down towards Tubbos outfit. Tubbo stares down at the floor, lost in thoughts of gods knows what.

"Tubbo?" No response. Ranboo approaches Tubbo tilting his head up to see tears pouring down his face. He moves Ranboos hand away and uses the sleeve of the suit to try and wipe his tears away. Ranboo can feel his heart sink. Seeing Tubbo cry was something that he's never seen before up until today. He kneels down on a knee and looks up to Tubbo who only tires to hide his face again, sliding down the wall and bringing his knees to his chest.

Ranboo sits criss-cross in front of Tubbo with a pained expression. "Tubbo.." He reaches his hand out but is only dismissed again. "Ranboo please go I don't want to be seen like this." Tubbo says through sobs, burying his face into his knees hugging them tighter. Ranboo scoots over to sit beside him wrapping his arm around Tubbo. "It's not healthy to keep these emotions bottled up Tubbo, I want to help you but I can't if you keep pushing me away." He says in a gentle voice. Tubbo doesn't bother to move Ranboos arm away despite not wanting to be touched.

"I don't want your help I'll be fine on my own. I have been fine on my own for years now. Please just go you're wasting your time." Tubbo says raising his voice, sobbing harder. "Tubbo you're my husband I can't just leave you like this, please just at least tell me something."

"Ranboo we've talked about this I want to be left alone." Tubbo says in a stern voice. "Tubbo it hurts to see you like this knowing that you won't let me help please Tubbo."

"Ranboo I swear to god leave me alone." Ranboo doesn't like where this was going, he knows he should leave it but it's about time Tubbo opens up, they were married after all any problems that they both individually have is something that they should probably try to fix together. "Tubbo I'm just trying to help-"

Tubbo twists himself out of Ranboos arm shoving it away and pushes him. "Well you're obviously not. Just piss off I said I'll be fine what part of that do you not understand!" He shouts, taken aback of his own volume. He stops crying for a second as there was a moment of silence between the two and Ranboo could feel a lump in his throat as his eyes tear up.

Hes never seen Tubbo this upset and he hated every second of it. He knows deep down he shouldn't have pushed it but every part of him wants to at least be there for him. He didn't know much about Tubbos trauma but he just knows he wants to care of Tubbo to show him that he won't leave. He wants to show Tubbo that it's okay but he doesn't know how and it eats away at him any chance it gets.

Tubbo starts crying again and hugs his knees as he uses the sleeve to wipe away more of his tears. "Ranboo I'm sorry." He says quietly, trying to sniff away the tears. He leans against the wall facing towards Ranboo, knees no longer to his chest but was now hugging himself grabbing onto the sleeves for dear life. "I'm so sorry I don't deserve you. You shouldn't be treated like this." He says now calmed down. Ranboo hugs Tubbo close and putting a hand on the back of Tubbos head. Tubbo doesn't hug back but Ranboo knows that's just something Tubbo can't bring himself to do, which he understands.

"It's okay I know it's been tough for you. You don't have to apologize it's not your fault we all get upset." Tubbo pulls away from the hug to look up at Ranboo. As much as Ranboo didn't like eye contact he took everything he could to ignore it since this was most definitely not the time.

"But it is my fault I just yelled at you aren't you mad? You can yell back if you want I don't care." Tubbo insists with an exhausted tone. "Tubbo no matter how much you yell at me when you're upset I wouldn't yell back. I know it's hard for you, you need to heal and that's ok I understand." He puts a hand on Tubbos face wiping away any remaining tears. "You should probably get rest now it's been a long day."

Tubbo takes a moment to breath and get his thoughts put back together. After a moment he takes in a deep breath as he gets up and heads back down to his room in the basement. Ranboo sighs in relief, half accomplished he at least got something out of him.

He felt bad for all the bottled up emotions Tubbo has and it was nice to help him get rid of at least some thoughts that he had. Ranboo gets up and heads to the door only to feel something tug on his shirt and looking back to see Tubbo had changed out of the suit and into a simple hoodie and pajama pants. "Don't go please. It's too dark." Tubbo says in hopes of keeping the little company he had. "Ok are you sure though?" Tubbo nods his head eagerly. "Yes I'm sure. I think it's about time I have a break from nightmares and when you stay overnight it helps. Whether you sleep on the couch or not." Ranboo can't help but smile and let out a small purr as they both head down to Tubbos room and go to sleep.
