"WHAT?"

George was beginning to think that telling Sapnap was a mistake.

"Oh my god, shut up you dunderhead, you're literally going to wake him!"

It had been about a week now since Dream took him out for that drive so early in the morning. They had arrived back home around 6, catching glimpses of the sunrise beginning to peak orange in through the clouds as they returned to their respective rooms and promptly passed out.

Neither of the two talked about that night after they awoke, and George didn't know whether to be thankful or disappointed considering he knew he would be all kinds of embarrassed after being so obviously sad that they had had to let go of each others' hands. Either way, after their drive together, the dreams had only begun to get worse.

Each dream was slightly different than the last. Always with him and Dream being inside of Dream's home (the location of which room tended to vary, though the living room seemed to be the most common place of appearance George found), the two being awfully soft with one another. Each dream was filled to the brim with almost domestically gentle touches. Hands intertwined together as they sat, feather light fingers gracing skin or weaving through hair, foreheads resting on one another as they gazed lovingly into the other's eyes. Sometimes soft kisses would be placed on rosy cheeks or freckled skin, in between knuckles or the nape of a neck. It always ended with the realization of being asleep, and a promise of "soon" whispered into ebony hair.

It was absolutely agonizing.

George frantically leaned over to Sapnap, shoving his hands in his face in an attempt to shush him.

Sapnap giggled, leaning back into the cushioning of the gray couch the two were currently seated on, "Sorry, sorry."

George sent over a warning glare in Sapnap's direction, watching as he calmed down slowly from his little fit of laughter.

He took in a deep breath, holding it for a second, anxiously watching as he picked at the underneath of his fingernails. This was serious, and Sapnap was laughing at him.

As if being able to hear how nervous he was just from his exhale, Sapnap leaned forward, forearms resting on his thighs, locking his hands together. George looked up from his hands toying in his lap only to be met with a smile on Sapnap's face, one far too soft for him to have just been laughing at him mere seconds ago.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" George huffed out as he crossed his arms, a little flustered now with just how kind Sapnap's eyes looked. He's never seen the younger look so gentle before.

"You really like him, don't you?" Sapnap asked quietly, voice laced in a silk that was comforting against the anxiety ridden thoughts swarming his mind. It's a kind of comfort that only the closest of friends can provide, and any thoughts that Sapnap had been genuinely laughing at him were gone. George doesn't think he's ever been more thankful for Sapnap than at this moment.

"I- I dunno, I mean, maybe?" George flushes. Sure, he's come to terms that he likes Dream way more than in a best friends kind of way in his mind, but saying the words out loud? That was a whole different story.

Seeming to be unsatisfied with George's answer, Sapnap abruptly sits up straight, turning his body so that he's facing George fully.

"What do you mean 'I don't know'? You literally just admitted to me that you've been having dreams about him for over an entire week where you do couple-y shit or whatever and then get sad when you realize you're dreaming, and that you held his hand while on a drive at three in the morning. You're really going to sit here and tell me you don't know if you like Dream or not after telling me all of that? It's so obvious, George!" Sapnap's voice was low, and George could tell just how serious the younger was being.
