It didn't take long for George to make it to the airport and make his way through security, already having his proper documents and needed items all easily accessible for him to grab. He thanked himself silently that he had done so, looking over at frazzled families who hadn't thought to be as prepared as him.
After dropping his luggage off at the drop-off area and praying that his PC would be safe with his things, all George had left to do was wait.
George sat in the transit lounge near his designated gate, a small coffee in hand as he peered down at his phone, glancing at the time.
9:38 AM.
George sighed as he turned his phone back off, setting it down on his lap face down and taking a small sip of his coffee.
He hummed as the caffeine slid down his throat, the warmth of it welcoming in the coldness of the airport.
Just a few more minutes, George thought, staring outside the window, watching as planes took off and landed on the runway.
Just a few more minutes and I'll be on my way to see them.
The subtle buzzing of his phone pulled George's attention away from the planes outside, grabbing his phone to see what notification just rolled in.
As he grabbed his phone, turning the screen to face him, he felt his phone buzz again. The screen lit up, and George saw two new text messages from both Dream and Sapnap in their group chat.
Sapnap's text was the first of the two, him giving a small complaint on being woken up from George's text informing the two he had made it to the airport safely and was waiting to board the plane. George only glanced at it, catching something about how he isn't the only one who's got a flight to catch.
George peered up at the clock in the top right corner of his phone screen. 9:43.
Could time be going any slower?
The next message was from Dream, him telling Sapnap to 'shut up already and go back to sleep'.
Another message suddenly appeared at the bottom of the screen from Dream. We'll see you at two, George!
George set his coffee down next to him, grabbing the phone with both his hands.
See you at two :)
Dream had thankfully managed to book his and Sapnap's flights to where they would both be arriving in Orlando at about the same time. While Sapnap would most likely be landing before him, they definitely wouldn't be waiting too long for George's arrival.
After seeing Sapnap send back a quick 'see y'all at 2' to the group chat, George shut his phone off and took one last sip of his coffee.
Once the paper cup had been drained of its contents, George stood up to throw it away, stretching his legs out as he knew he would be sitting down for the next 9 hours.
As he walked back to his seat, a voice rang over the intercom.
"Flight 227, flight 227 please make your way to gate 3a to begin boarding. Flight 227 make your way to gate 3a to begin boarding."
George smiled, a small 'finally' slipping from his lips as he hurried back to his seat, grabbing his carry on.
Slinging the bag over his shoulders, he made his way over to the boarding area, ticket in hand.
One by one the passengers were let into the tunnel to board the plane. Once let through, George carefully slid into one of the rows, taking a seat right next to one of the windows.
