POV Jocke

I enter the pitch-black room and as I walk further inside the door behind me closes and I hear it get locked. I stand still and look around, trying to find out what exactly is happening until I hear ticking right in front of me. It sounds as if two rocks hit each other and suddenly I see sparks for a moment, creating a small fire in what seems to be a fireplace. As the fire fills the fireplace, the room lights up and the mysterious man stands there facing the fireplace, with his back turned to me. We haven't yet spoken a word since the moment he picked me up, but my feeling tells me I'm in good hands.

After another moment of not speaking a word I break the silence and ask, "Who are you?".
"The name's Pär, sounds familiar to you?", he responds.
"The man in my vision when I was unconscious spoke of you, how did you know where to find me?", I ask trying to clear up some questions that have stacked up in my mind.
"Let's just say you weren't the only one struck by a vision.", he answers as he turns around to me and takes off his cloak, revealing his face. He has long brown hair and a small beard on his chin.
"We will ride at dawn, look around the house and pack whatever you deem necessary. We won't return here anytime soon", he says as he's laying some stuff on a table next to the door.
"Where are we going?", I ask.
"We're going to meet the man from your vision", Pär answers.
I look around and grab a knapsack and girdle. On my girdle I equip a sheathed sword and two knives. In my backpack I put two pieces of flint, some food, a filled water bag and a sling. I lay the girdle and knapsack next to the door and sit down in a chair for the night.

I get woken up by Pär, grab my knapsack, equip my girdle and step outside. I notice there's a second horse, which Pär must have brought here while I was asleep. We mount the horses and I follow Pär out of town, according to the compass we're heading further north, away from my father's kingdom.
"Where exactly are we going?", I ask once we're out of town.
"Do you see those mountains in the far end of the plains? We'll take our next stop there before we head deeper into the mountain range. I'm assuming those king's men will return this night, so we have to take cover in a cave.", he explains.
I nod in understanding and take some time to admire the beauty of the vast plains.
