"I know I shouldn't be here," Dream spoke softly, reaching up and grabbing his mask. "But I just couldn't go so long without seeing you again." He pulled his mask off, locking his glossy sky blue eyes with SapNap's coal colored ones. SapNap gulped quietly, eyes beginning to sting with tears as he looked at the man he loved ever so much. "Clay, you know how risky this is..," SapNap replied, almost in a whisper. "I know, I know..it'll be just a minute, Pandas," Dream responded, tossing his mask to the ground and approaching SapNap. SapNap let out a shaky breath, Dream standing in front of him.
"Dream–," was all that SapNap could get out before Dream cupped his face, pulling him into a kiss. SapNap immediately closed his eyes, kissing Dream back. He had waited so long to do this. To hold Dream in his arms again and kiss him. SapNap wrapped his arms around Dream's waist, pulling him closer as Dream gently rubbed his thumb against SapNap's cheek. Dream pulled back, eyes opening and allowing a single tear to roll down his scarred cheek. SapNap slowly opened his eyes, looking back up at Dream as he opened his mouth to speak. The sound of a twig snapping filled their ears, causing them to both tense and snap their heads in the direction of the noise.
George stood there, watching as the two held each other and stared at him. SapNap's heart dropped as Dream's eyes widened. Before anyone could say anything, George quickly took a step back and turned. He sprinted off. "Geor– gEORGE!" SapNap screamed, releasing Dream's waist as beginning to run after his friend. His arm was grabbed tightly, pulling him back. SapNap looked, seeing that Dream had grabbed him. "We have to go– please, we have to go!" Dream begged, lightly tugging on SapNap's arm. SapNap wore a worried expression, biting his lip as more tears filled his eyes. It was tears of fear, yet happiness that he would be with Dream once more. His eyes shifted to the ground, landing on Dream's mask. He quickly crouched down, grabbing it before standing back up.
"Put it on, quick," SapNap demanded, voice shaking slightly. Dream, without question, grabbed his mask and put it on. After he fastened the lock on it, he grabbed SapNap's hand tightly. He began to run, SapNap quickly following. As they ran, they could hear the faint footsteps of their attackers following. "This way!" Bad's voice echoed, causing SapNap to tense. Was this really worth it? Dream suddenly skidded to a stop, quickly putting a hand out in front of SapNap. Just as SapNap was about to question it, he looked down. His eyes widened in pure terror.
They were at the edge of a ravine, SapNap's breath hitching. He was terrified of heights. Dream quickly spun around, SapNap doing the same as their attackers were right there. Sam was the first to come into their view, holding a loaded crossbow. Bad and Ant soon popped up, swords wielded. Lastly, George, who held an axe at the ready. "Dream, SapNap," Sam spoke in a stern tone. "We can either do this the easy way or the hard way. Your call." SapNap gulped audibly, looking up at Dream. Dream didn't really notice this, for he had turned his head to look back at the ravine. He seemed to have spotted something. After a moment, he turned back to look at the others. "Y'know what, Sam?" He asked calmly, staring right at Sam. "I choose neither."
Before anyone could process anything, Dream shoved SapNap off of the edge. As his screams echoed through the ravine, Dream leaped after him. Everyone froze, including Sam. After a few seemingly never ending seconds, SapNap's screams stopped. Sam's face had gone pale, wearing an expression of pure shock. He slowly lowered his crossbow, blinking. Ant hesitantly looked at George, seeing that he, too, wore a shocked expression. "George..?" He asked quietly. "Are you alright..?" He was genuinely concerned about George. He had just witnessed two of his best friends jump off the edge. George took a shaky breath, eyes closing. "I'll manage," he admitted, Bad placing a hand on his shoulder.SapNap's head popped out of the water, loud gasp leaving him as he did so. Dream did the same, quickly looking over at his boyfriend as he wanted slightly. "Are you alright?" He managed to ask, trying to not be loud. SapNap looked over, blinking. He then wore an annoyed expression, splashing water at Dream. "Warn me next time, yea?" He snapped, having been scared shitless.
"Sorry– it was a last minute thing," Dream responded, reaching for SapNap's arm. He carefully grabbed it, pulling him over. SapNap allowed him to do this, kicking gently to keep himself afloat. Dream carefully and quietly brought them over to the ground, pulling himself out of the water. SapNap did the same, water dripping down his face as he stood. Dream reached behind his mask, unlocking the latch before taking it off. He sighed softly, looking around. "We should wait here until night, just to be sure they don't see us," he spoke, looking over at SapNap. SapNap nodded, replying with "Good idea."
