It was a Saturday afternoon when Shuichi came up with an idea. He was bored, he had no homework, and all of his other friends had plans.

Hmm...What can I do? I'm pretty bored. Ah, have I seen if Kaito was free?

Those were Shuichi's thoughts as he opened his phone and texted Kaito.

Shuichi sighed. Classic Kaito really. As Shuichi was staring at Kaito's contact, he realized he needed to get ready. The blue haired boy then scrambled to his feet to prepare a good movie to watch.

Shuichi made a mistake.

Hm...oh, we should watch a horror movie. Kaito won't get scared, right? Right...

He will. But the emo detective didn't know.

A couple minutes later, the doorbell starts ringing like crazy. He wasn't kidding when he said a few minutes?!

Shuichi's sure Kaito is breaking the doorbell as he ran to let the astronaut in.

"Hey Kaito." Shuichi said a little out of breath from running all the way to the door.

"Hey sidekick! Did you already choose a movie?" Kaito flashed his award-winning smile. It always brightened Shuichi's day.

The blue haired boy smiled slightly. "Yeah, I did. Come in, I still need to make popcorn."

As the two walked in, they made small talk. "What type of movie did you pick?"

"Oh, I picked a horror movie." Kaito froze.

"Kaito? What's wrong? Ah, do you not like horror movies? I'll choose a different one-" Before Shuichi could finish his apology, Kaito cut him off.

"N-no! I'm fine, really! Let's just make the o popcorn.." The cyan haired boy was suspicious, but didn't say anything about it.

After making popcorn, the couple went up to Shuichi's room and start the movie. Kaito's face looks a little...pale. Shuichi was getting concerned for the spiky haired man, and decided to ask him about it.

"Kaito, are you okay? You look...pale."

"I-I'm not scared, I promise! I'm...just hungry! I'm sure if I eat some popcorn I'll look just fine!"

"I didn't even ask you if you were scared..."

The detective was getting a little concerned, but instead of doing something about it, he started the movie.

The movie was about ghosts. Shuichi never really believed in ghosts, but the movie was still entertaining. After a little while, the first ghost appeared behind the main character. As the mc opened their mouth, Shuichi heard a scream much louder than the TV. He instantly turned to his side to see Kaito screaming.

"K-Kaito?! What happened?! Are you ok!?"

"I-I was caught...off guard, don't mind me!"

"I don't believe you for a second. You're shaking." Shuichi looks down and sees the astronauts hands shaking.

In the detectives head was only one thing;

Give him a hug! DO NOT, he'll think you're weird. HE'S SHAKING YOU IDIOT!

Before he completely thought it through, Shuichi saw himself wrapping his arms around Kaito.

"Shuichi? W-what're you doing? It's not like I'm...scared, you don't need to worry, really!"

"I'm not dumb, Kaito. You should've told me you're scared of ghosts."

"I-I'm telling you, I'm not- AAAHHHHHHHHHHH"

Shuichi frowned slightly, letting go of the purple haired man. "Why didn't you tell me? You usually tell me everything."

Kaito looked at the detective, who was still hugging him. "I didn't want to look like a coward."

The blue haired boy then looked up to Kaito with a confused expression. "Why would I ever think you're a coward? You're my...friend. My best friend."

"Because I like you."

What? Did Kaito just...casually confess? What why when where who how why did he just say that-

"Shuichi? Are you there? Your face is turning red! Should I get something cold or-"

The detective looked at Kaito's face. Kaito looked confused.

"Kaito...you know you just confessed to me, right?" He avoided eye contact.

It took a few seconds before Kaito too, went pink in the face. At this point, the movie was in the background.

"Oh, uh it's ok if you don't feel the same way! I'm not even sure if you like guys like that-"

Kaito was interrupted by a bigger hug, this time not on his side. Shuichi had gotten on his lap and hugged him from the front.

"S-Shuichi? What are you doing? You don't have to feel bad for me, y'know." The astronaut hugged him back.

"Kaito...I've liked you for almost a year now." Shuichi didn't bother looking him in the face, he was too embarrassed.

There was a moment of silence. Kaito breaks the silence. "So..does that make you my boyfriend?" There was another pause.

"Yeah, yeah it does." Shuichi relaxed into his chest. By the time the whole drama was over, the movie ended. Instead of another horror movie, they just watched Saiki K.

"Kaito?"

"What's up, Shu?"

"Can we...cuddle?"

"Of course!"
