Harry's eyes opened the next morning to see that he was still on the couch. He had given up his bed for a certain boy to sleep in and be comfortable, just like he had done a month ago. Although the couch wasn't comfortable at all and he already felt many kinks and aches in his back, he was more worried about the safety about someone else.

When he looked up to see how he was doing, he saw that the bed was empty. The sheets were scattered across the bed, the pillows were thrown around, the mattress was even hanging off the frame a bit. It was obvious that the last person in it was having a difficult time trying to fall asleep. But where was that person? That's when he realized the weight on his chest. Looking down, the only thing he saw was a petite body that belonged to messy brunette hair was scattered across him in a deep state of slumber.

He missed this. He missed waking up in the morning just to be greeted by the most perfect sight and feeling imaginable. What warmed his heart the most during these times was when Louis was still sleeping, but cuddled deeper into him and tightened his grip on him. After a few seconds, the much smaller boy in his arms did such action and buried his face into his chest. Harry was on cloud nine.

Eventually blue eyes appeared and blinked multiple times, trying to get used to the morning sunshine, before looking up to lock eyes with a green pair. Harry smiled down at him, his dimple showing, and fluffed his hair.

"Good morning," he stopped himself from giving him any pet names, just in case he wasn't comfortable yet. He removed his arms from him and sat up. "Sorry..."

"No, I couldn't sleep last night," Louis yawned and rubbed his eyes. He scooted closer to him and reconnected himself to him. "Is this alright? I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

Harry felt his heart flutter and wrapped his own arms around him. "Absolutely."

The two of them lay in silence for awhile and listened to each other's heart beats, as it was always a comforting sound for them; it showed that there was another living being like them, that was almost made for them, and loved the other back. Louis had always been obsessed with the feeling. Harry, on the other hand, was still denying such feeling.

As Louis began messing with Harry's sweatshirt strings, he asked, "can I stay here?"

Much to Harry's surprise, he furrowed his eyebrows and looked down. "Don't feel forced to stay here if-"

"I want to," Louis sent him a glance with reassuring eyes. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, darling," Harry smiled and continued to rub his back.

"Promise me you wont lie," Louis asked, but seemed to sound more like a command.

"Pinky swear," Harry reached down and connected their smallest fingers, gently shaking them up and down.

Louis smiled and looked up. "Please tell me how you feel about me. Seriously."

Harry blinked with confused. He wished he could put a name to what this was. It felt wrong, but so incredibly right.

"Uhm... well, I," he started. "I don't know."

Louis nodded with a blank expression, but Harry saw past that. What he saw was eyes raging with anger and a soul that was preparing to break with a single word.

"Ok," Louis said calmly with a nod. He thought for a moment. "Alright, let's say someone says that they love you. How would you react?"

"Probably like... cool? That's nice?" Harry shrugged.
