Emily's POV
We've been in LA for over a week now and we still haven't caught the bastard, and that's taken a toll on all of us, but JJ seems to be stressed about something else.
I walked into our hotel room "look, I don't know what else to say, that's how I feel and you can't change that but you can be a big person about it.... no I'll pick Henry up on Sunday evening.....I'm sorry, ok?! I wish it wasn't this way, but when you proposed it just felt like we were already drifting and to marry you would be trying to make some thing work that never really worked to begin with...." I recognized JJ's voice sounded like she'd been crying, I was worried but I also knew she could fight her own battles. "Ok bye take care...."
she hung up the phone and tossed it onto the table an let out a quite sob. It absolutely broke my heart to hear her cry. I knocked on the door frame, "hey, you need a hug?" JJ looks over as I walk up to her, I sit beside her on the couch and she cuddled up close to me. "and possibly a bottle of wine?" this gets a small laugh out of her, " thanks, how much did you hear?" I sigh, "enough to know you have the right to be upset. Do you wanna talk about it or talk about something else?"
JJ thinks about it for a minute "it's late we should probably go to sleep I'll tell you what happened tomorrow so that you know what actually happened rather than an out of context idea." I nod my head "ok thank you," just as I stand up she grabs my hand, "stay? Please?" So I sit back down and we cuddle close and fall asleep.
I woke up with my arm wrapped around something and it fit perfectly around it, I look down and I realize it's JJ. I'm about to fall back asleep when my phone rings, and there's about half a dozen phone calls from the rest of the team and my phone starts ringing again so I answer the phone groggily.
"hello?" Garcia is on the other end "hello to you too, what have you been doing? The team has been trying to get ahold of you and JJ since 9:00! You know what......" I hear Garcia furiously typing "Garcia..." it goes quite on her end of a moment then "ohoho, so that's who you were meaning when you said you were in love with a girl! You meant our very own Jennifer, ha, okay stop making out and get to the crew! PG out!"
I laugh and put the phone down, I start to get up when JJ pulls my arm back down and grumbles "no, I'm sleeping." I lean closer
To her, "JJ love, we have to go the team is waiting on us." She groans and stands up, "between Henry and the BAU, I never sleep." She says while shuffling her feet to the bathroom to shower.
