Chapter 41: something rotten this way comes

I woke up to the sound of vendel yelling and I groaned and sat up slowly, which hurt... a lot and I made crutch out of my fire and wood, which made it stable and I got up which made me want to fall and I heard vendel say " and Leslie is already at risk!" And I chuckled " oh please, I'm not that weak" then they turned their heads and Jim hugged me " ah, Jim my ribs" and he apologized then we heard strickler say " trollhunter! Help!" And they rushed to help him and I tried too but vendel said " we can go together" and I smiled and while we were walking he asked " how do you feel?" And I said " horrible, but that won't stop me from fighting" then he smiled and we heard yelling and we heard " throw them out" and vendel came up and went on a rock and said " when you finish throwing them out, come back and throw me out, too. Yes, the boy has made grave errors. But he's come trough for us more times than I give him credit for, Trollmarket is in danger, and our greatest defense has always been our trollhunter, he's earned my trust. He should have earned yours." And blinky and arrgh agreed and told them to throw them out too and Toby even though he doesn't live here and bagdwella came up and said " same for me, I've always stood with our trollhunter" and I whispered " sure, you have" and rolled my eyes, then the trolls agreed and let them go and Jim said " now, we get ready to give Angor Rot the fight of his life!" And they all cheered and we started to build our defenses and I came up to Jim, slowly and he asked " are you sure you'll be up for this?" And I said " oh please, I'm fine" and we went to Claire and Toby where Claire said " Toby, we have to tell jim." And Jim asked " tell me what?" And non-Enrique showed up behind Claire and said " tell who what? Nothing to see here" then we moved them aside and saw Chomsky and we were both happy and he asked " Chomsky? No way! When did he get out" and I came over to Chomsky, still holding my crutch " good to see you, little dude" then we high fived and Claire said " a little while ago. We were gonna tell you, but with everything and your mom and Leslie" and Jim asked " why would you hold back the great news? He escaped the darklands!" And I sat down and Chomsky sat on my shoulder and Toby said " uh, technically, he didn't. Gunmar let him out to deliver a message." And my eyes went wide, oh, no and Claire said " Jim, Gunmar knows you killed his son." And non-Enrique was saying out what Chomsky was saying " and he promises to make a River, no an ocean of blood from your loved ones. And he's gonna make a throne, with their... I think he said bones. His words not mine" and Toby said " and... he included a list." And it continued, non-Enrique following his words " Leslie. Tobias. Claire. Barbara. Blinkous." And it went on and and Claire told him " we knew what we were getting into. After we find the last stone, we'll find my brother and end this once and for all" and Toby said " it goes on for a while, y'all don't need to listen to this" and Claire said " it's like you said, we shouldn't be focused on the fight tomorrow, but the fight today" and Toby said " it's just too bad we've been wasting our time collecting stones to kill gunmar and not Angor Rot." And strickler came and said " or so you think. Maybe you do have a stone. Angor's eye" and Jim grabbed the jar with Angor's eye in it " you're saying I can use this in my amulet?" And I said " huh, wouldn't surprise me" and Toby said " Jim, you're going to level up again!" And strickler said " if cut with the proper guidance." And Jim said " show me where to cut." And we went to the room where we cut through the stones and I was training, trying my best to not be weak and I went in the forge where Draal was where he was talking to his father and he smiled when he saw me and we hugged and he said " you'll be alright, I know you will" and I leaned into him. After a while he started coming and we were ready and Jim said " he's expecting us to hide. I say we take the fight to him. Draal, hold the stairs. Blink, Claire, tobes, protect trollmarket. Arrgh, Leslie and non-Enrique, with me" then Draal smiled at me and I smiled back and went with Jim and Jim got his suit of armor on and the wall was opening and out came one of those totem monsters and arrrgh took out the totem and we quickly realized that it was a diversion and they started running and arrgh put me on his back, I could use my wings but I just irritates my side even more and we caught up to Claire and Toby and the others and then Angor showed up and created more crystal totem monsters and we started fighting them, well guess I have no choice, my wings appeared but burned my side but I had to and I flew up and threw crystal bombs at The totems and destroyed them with my flames and then helped Draal and it kept going on, and then I saw something I never thought I would see, because of Angor, arrgh turned to stone, and I tried to go at angor but he just knocked me down, and I groaned and Draal helped me up and I gasped " he-he killed him" then I used my Angor against them totem trolls and went to find my brother and we did, and he was fighting angor and Claire creates her portal and me and Toby went through and angor asked " where are friends now, hunter?" And Toby said " here, rot-head!" And me and Toby worked together using his hammer and my fire, and Jim's sword and he was defeated and the souls of all trollhunters and kanjigar appeared " these are the spirits of our fallen brethren. Trollhunters who lost both soul and life to Angor rot. Our brothers and sisters shall take their proper place in the void and Rest In Peace. Thanks to you, James lake junior, and your sister and friends. You were right, you are stronger together, we are in your debt, but the day will come when you must finish the fight alone." And Draal came up to kanjigar " father?" And kanjigar said " my son, I am so sorry for pushing you away. I am so proud of you." And he started fading away and Draal kept calling out to him but he fully went away and I put a hand on his shoulder and he look at me and smiled and hugged me and I hugged back. We went back to arrgh and mourned hm and Claire told Toby to save his anger for the darklands, and Jim went away and we walked to find him and when we did, he was with the killahead bridge and he said he couldn't loose any more of us and I said " Jim, come on, you're being stupid!" And I was firing at the door and blinky was overriding the door and we finally got the door open, but we were too late and I cried and fell.
