"Mom when do we leave?", "Any minute now, are you all packed?" "Yeah". I wish we didn't have to leave in the middle of my senior year. That means I have to miss Senior Prom and everything that seniors do. I was even going to ask Lauren Huchison the prettiest girl in school, I could picture her walking in the gym with a beautiful purple ball gown with her hair as long and straight as silk swaying from side to side, her eyes sparkling as we danced. Just thinking about her makes me smile. "Let's go honey, is everything in the car like I asked?" Yes mom, why did you just have to take that job for being an author and assistance for Lola Stvill anyway, you where doing just fine here which Aunt Lilly and Uncle Shaun. We don't have any family in California, do we? "Actually Jacob we do." Who! "You'll see when we get there now won't you? Get in the car so we can leave your gonna love the new house I got!" Uhh! I'm telling you the drive was like eleven hours or more because I had to use the bathroom at least seven times my mom says I have problems when it comes to holding it like my best friend Zane Norris we known each other ever since we where two, that's the main reason I was so mad about moving to California. But he said he might even move in with his dad and he lives in California too. When we drove up to the house, I thought it was a hotel or even a mansion because that six bedroom four bath and even a grand pool that was big enough to fit my whole neighborhood in! My Mom saw my mouth drop so of course there was no way I was going to here the end of that after all my complaining I did about moving here. "School starts tomorrow honey." Ok. That night when the moon started to rise I heard howling like a wolf but a lot deeper and stronger than a regular wolf. When I woke up the next morning I felt my head pounding like someone was hitting me with a brick, maybe I was thinking to hard about the howling I heard last night. As I was walking to the bus I tripped on a rock! A rock! That was so embarrassing when I got on the bus I sat in the first seat. I could already see my popularity falling before I even got to school. Finally the bus stopped at school, when I say the hottest girls I mean the hottest girls In California but there was one that really just caught my eye she was so beautiful with her short hair flowing in the wind as she laughed with her friends. Than I was brought back to reality when some guy came in front of me and said, "Hey, my name is Dru, Dru Garland but all the girls call me Dru Bear." Hey, I'm Jacob Wess I moved here from New York, we got here yesterday. "Wow New York we don't get a lot of those around here." Yeah I can tell, hey do you know who they are? "Yeah the one with the long hair is Grace Webber she moved here three years ago from Florida, and the one on her left is Courtney Mathes, and the one on her right is Tayley Phillips my ex girlfriend, uhh I can't stand her now!" Well it was nice meeting you so I should probably get going to class. "Ok man see you at lunch." As I was walking to my first class History I saw her, she's even prettier up close as the day went by I realized we have all the same classes. In science she sat in front of me, I was hoping she would be my lab partner but I got stuck with some girl named Lexie Henry the whole time she just talked about her dog Coconut. I wasn't really listening because all I could think about was Grace her laugh was almost as beautiful as she was.When we went to lunch I saw Dru he called me over to the table he was at. I sat down and introduced me to all the people at the table. "This is Jack Johnson we call him Miss America, and that's Owen Bugarin he's the Flash, and last but not least that's Brenton Thomas we cal him Beefo Brenton." When lunch was over we went to gym I got hit with a dodge ball only about thirteen times, no big deal, even though I will have a bruised face. When I got home I went to my room and sat on my bed, I didn't eat anything that night but a granola bar that was in my backpack from the day before. When I heard the howling later on that night I decided to go find out what it was. When I started walking into the woods, there it was, it wasn't a everyday kind of wolf this was huge like a Great Dane, maybe even bigger when I saw it's eyes that's when I knew who it was, Grace Webber. When she saw me all she said was, "Promise me you won't tell anyone?"
