Age 787

______________

Hercules, Tempura, Miyoma, and Caracol appeared on Kami's Lookout. The Saiyan stepped out from the group, raising a hand to block out the sun as the gazed around their surroundings. Visibly unimpressed, he turned to look back at his squad.

"I don't get it. There's no weird timey-wimey stuff going on here."

"Pay attention." Caracol stepped forward. "Where's the Guardian of Earth, or Mr. Popo? The lookout is abandoned, and it never is."

"Good point." Tempura stepped forward, switching on his scouter and scanning the lookout. "My scouter isn't picking up anything either. This place should never be abandoned, no matter the Age."

The team's observations were cut short when a purple ki blast suddenly rocketed towards the group. Instantly, every one of the patrollers' instincts moved them out of harms way, and they landed nearby. "What the hell?" Caracol snarled, his gaze fixating on the origin point of the blast.

Hovering above the lookout were two figures: a Saiyan clad in gray battle armor, and a large Namekian wearing yellow and purple clothing. Tempura immediately recognized them for who they were.

"Turles! Slug!" Immediately, his scouter burst into life, capturing a variety of readings on the pair floating before them.

"Turles? And Slug? Like the Turles and Lord Slug?" Hercules's eyes widened with excitement as he realized the challenge in front of him. His aura flared as his blood began to pump faster. "So these are the notorious criminals who mess with the timestream!" His eyes blazed with vigor as he locked onto Turles. "Dibs!"

Without a second thought, Hercules launched himself off the ground towards the evil Saiyan. Turles smirked in response, easily catching Hercules's initial punch. Slug didn't flinch, and Turles spoke to his accomplice.

"Go down there and handle those worms. I'll handle the suicidal one here."

"Hmph. Don't order me around, Saiyan." Before Turles could reply, Slug vanished from sight.

"Should've considered having your pal stick around for help." Hercules grinned through gritted teeth. "Maybe then it'd be an even fight."

"Don't get ahead of yourself, kid." Hercules's eyes widened as Turles slammed his knee into his stomach. "I'm more than enough to kill you."

"That idiot!" Tempura's eyes were locked on Hercules and Turles above. "He needs backup-" the Earthling was interrupted by two stretchy green arms bursting from the floor of the lookout. Tempura narrowly managed to dodge the attack, his eyes widened as he realized Caracol and Miyoma were in the line of fire.

Before Caracol and Miyoma could even register what was happening, Tempura appeared in front of them, catching the green arms in a flash. Not hesitating, the Earthling effortless severed Slug's green limbs and watched as they retracted back into the floor of the Lookout. A few meters away, the evil Namekian burst from the floor, veins popping from his head.

"You damn Earthlings.... always getting in my way!" Roaring with rage, he charged Tempura, swinging his right fist in a wild haymaker. The silver-haired Earthling maintained a serious expression as he dodged the vicious attack, swiftly countering with a powerful uppercut to Slug's gut. Lord Slug's eyes widened as he spat purple blood from his mouth. Before he could recover, Tempura's foot smashed into his chin, sending him flying upwards into the sky. Tempura flared up his white aura and turned to face Miyoma and Caracol.

"Investigate below the Lookout while Hercules and I clean up here. Got it?"

"Roger!"

Without a second word, Miyoma and Caracol launched themselves off the floating platform. Before he descended over the edge, though, Caracol looked back at the four fighters remaining. He snorted in disgust, then followed Miyoma to the ground.

Back in the air, Hercules and Turles battled it out.

"Your attacks are pretty puny for a Saiyan!" Turles taunted, vanishing from Hercules's eyesight and reappearing behind him. The young time patroller turned to block, but the evil Saiyan was too swift. A powerful hammer fist sent Hercules spiraling towards the ground. A sinister grin appearing on Turles's face as his opponent smashed into the tiles below. He nonchalantly floated down, landing next to the crater where Hercules lay. Stretching out one hand and forming a purple ball of energy, Turles taunted,

"Time to die, worthless scrap."

Unleashing a fully powered Meteor Burst, Turles blew a gargantuan hole in the Lookout, catching the attention of both Lord Slug and Tempura. The Time Patroller's face warped into one of anguish as he processed what happened. In contrast, Slug began to cackle, his laughing echoing throughout the Lookout and radiating down below.

Miyoma's head snapped up as a purple explosion appeared above them. She instinctually turned to go back up there, but Caracol grabbed her. She wrenched herself out of Caracol's grip and stared at the Namekian accusingly.

"They might need our help!"

"They need us to follow orders," Caracol replied firmly. "We were told to investigate down below, and we need to do that."

"But that-"

"But nothing. You need to have more faith in our comrades."

Miyoma was silent, considering their options.

"Fine."

Back up on the Lookout, Tempura whipped around and slammed Slug in the face, cutting off his laugh and sending him tumbling to the edge of the lookout. Rising to his feet, Slug wiped the blood trickling from his mouth.

"You really want to die that badly, you trash?" A sadistic grin formed on his face. "Fine! Time to show you my true power!"

Slug shifted his feet into a wide stance and let his aura explode around him. He clenched his fists with all his strength and screamed as his power began to rise. Tempura's eyes widened as Slug began to rapidly expand in size.
