"Oh, come on," Wanda teased, "everyone has a dream wedding."

"Yeah, well, not me," Natasha responded, head resting on Wanda's thigh, Wanda's hands running through her hair. A romcom played in the background on Natasha's television, though neither paid much attention.

"You've never thought about what it would be like?"

"What do you mean?"

Wanda glanced down at Natasha pointedly. "Marrying the person you love. A big ceremony, an even bigger party after."

"Nope."

"Well, I have..."

"Yeah? What's Wanda Maximoff's dream wedding?"

"Well," she smiled wistfully, "massive. I'd invite everyone I know. Random stranger on the bus? Invited. My favorite grocery store clerk? Invited. Party of the century."

Natasha whistled. "Sheesh, babe. Sounds expensive."

"But fun!"

Natasha patted Wanda's thigh. "Yes, but fun. You'd make a beautiful bride, Wanda."

"So would you."

"I've never really thought about being a bride before."

"No? Never though of what your dress would be? Something gaudy and glittery?"

Natasha scrunched her nose. "Definitely not. I was thinking more... sexy pant suit."

"Any pant suit on you is sexy."

"You're too kind, my love," Natasha whispered, sitting up for a kiss. "Too kind to me."

Natasha snuck through the crowd to her seat in the back row. Upon noticing her bare feet, Steve shot her a puzzled glance. Natasha just nodded in the direction of the walkway, where Wanda gracefully made her way down the center aisle, arm locked with Rhodey's, clad in Natasha's shoes.

"That explains nothing," Steve whispered, though Natasha ignored him. Her eyes were glued to Wanda, tall and elegant and practically glowing. Though she wasn't wearing white, Wanda looked fit to exchange vows at the end of the aisle.

Instinctively, Wanda's eyes found Natasha, and a smile broke out onto the brunette's face. Natasha flashed thumbs up, mouthing 'you look amazing'. Blushing, Wanda's gaze fell to the carpet in front of her, though when she took her place standing next to Pepper, she couldn't take her eyes off of a certain redhead in the crowd.

Carol clocked this interaction from her seat near the front, frowning deeply, annoyance at Wanda growing with every second. After vows and rings were exchanged, and Tony literally swept Pepper off of her feet, Carol cornered Wanda, seething.

"What the hell, Wanda?" The blonde asked, giving the other woman a small shove. Seeing Carol put her hands on Wanda, even slightly, enraged Natasha, and she made her way over, jaw clenched.

Wanda stumbled back, caught off guard. "What?"

"Don't 'what' me. I've seen you making eyes at Natasha for the past forty five minutes, what is that all about?"

Blinking hard, Wanda struggled to find a response. Had she really been that obvious? She had to admit, the redhead had an unexpected affect in her. She'd been kind, and genuine, willing to put Wanda's needs in front of her own. It was a far cry from the more self focused woman Wanda had dated; Natasha was clearly an improved, more mature individual. All the best parts of the redhead still present, now with the added bonus of a more authentic and altruistic disposition.

Natasha stepped up, tapping Carol's arm for her attention, hoping to draw her ire away from Wanda. "Is there a problem here?"

"Yeah, I think there is," Carol sneered. Wanda, sensing the tension, stepped in between the two, caught in a conflict of interests. "You're trying to steal my girl."

Natasha didn't back down, but tried to keep her response civil. "Wanda's an adult. She can make her own choices. I'm just letting her know she has better options."

"Better?"

"Yeah, better. I've seen the way you've treated her this weekend. Blowing up at her for every little thing, demeaning her," Natasha poked Carol in the chest, "being a general asshat."

Carol just scoffed. "You had your chance. Wanda's mine now."

"Maybe I did have my chance. Maybe Wanda and I had our shot. I'm just telling you that she," Natasha gestured to Wanda, "deserves more. So take care of her, or I will."

Satisfied, Natasha turned on her still bare feet and stalked off, leaving Carol and Wanda to hash it out. The blonde just laughed, but her guffaws ended abruptly when Wanda rushed forward and grabbed Natasha by the hand.

"Wait," Wanda whispered, causing Natasha to turn in confusion. The brunette took a long pause, eyes searching Natasha's before declaring, "Carol, we're done."

Carol shook her head in disgust. "This has been a long time coming, Maximoff. I was planning on breaking up with you after the wedding anyway. Good luck finding a ride home."

After Carol exited in a huff, Wanda let out a deep sigh. "It was time."

"How are you gonna get home?" Natasha asked, eyes trained on the pair's still intertwined hands.

Wanda's eyes twinkled with hope. "With you."
