Chapter 4: at the lunch table

5 minutes into lunch And Tony already starts to complain about How it takes too long for the waiters to come by their table to take their order, y/n is still looking on the menu to decide what she wants to eat. She's not that hungry, and her face is showing it, she rubs her stomach and Bucky notices. "What's wrong love..?" He asks quietly and y/n looks at him "nothing mi amor, just deciding what I want to eat" she says with a little smile and looks back at her menu, Bucky looks at her a while longer but then smiles a bit and looks back at his menu as well.

Tony snaps his fingers to sign the waiter and a somewhat little, fragile guy walks up to their table "s-sorry to keep you waiting mister stark" he says shakily as he looks around the table "miss Romanoff, mister Barnes" he says as he nods his head, he locks eyes with y/n and his expression shows that he doesn't recognize her. Y/n hands out her hand and introduces herself "y/n barton, daughter of Clint barton AKA Hawkeye" she says with a little smile and the waiter slowly shakes her hand.
The boy takes all their orders and compared to the steak Tony ordered, the burger Natasha and Bucky ordered, y/n's salad is not that much. "Are you sure you're okay my love... you're not eating that much" Bucky says and puts a hand on y/n's back, as a sign of concern. Y/n casually smiles and looks at him "I'm fine my love... I promise" she says and puts a hand on his cheek as she kisses him softly.
"Alright i am kinda Okay with you guys dating But i don't need to see this at the lunch table guys come on" Tony says irritated And y/n looks down at the table, holding in her laugh. She feels something under the table, it's Bucky, reaching for her hand. She takes his hand and they look at each other, just looking in each other's eyes, y/n forgetting about everything and just thinking about how she found the guy who she knows will protect her from all the bad things in the world.
