Emily's POV
The sun peaking through the curtains woke me. I didn't dare open my eyes, my head felt like it was splitting and my whole body felt dehydrated. I lay in the pain for a few minutes, wishing for some magical cure all for hangovers. Then it hit me. Something isn't right with where I am. The sheets are wrong and something smells...weird.

I jerked up in the bed, memories of last night flowing back. Only bits and pieces from the club. Where was I? I looked around the room for context clues, gingerly stepping around my clothes from last night, when I heard the door creak open. I turned, stiff and honestly scared. My body relaxed when my eyes made contact with his. Michael. I went home with Michael??

"Um..hi. Did we..?"

"Oh GOD no, no I brought you here after Derek abandoned you outside" Michael confessed with a tone of nervousness. "You uh, you were pretty f*cked up last night Em."

"Uh yeah I guess I did go a bit hard last night. When in Rome I guess" I chuckled, deeply embarrassed and trying to cut the tension.

"It was..kind of concerning how, I don't know vulnerable you were. Out there, in the dark. What if I wasn't there? What if some creep.." he trailed off

"God who are you my f*cking mother? Jesus Christ Michael, I'm grown." I said scowling. Here we go, can never have a nice moment can you Emily.

"Well sorry for trying, once again, to be a decent goddamn human." He growled while rolling his eyes. He stalked out of the room, presumably going downstairs.

I stretched and looked down, noting that I was in his clothing. That means he definitely saw me half naked. Oh joyous day. I grabbed my stuff and left the room, only to bump into a now shirtless Michael.

"Uh sorry, I'm gonna go I just need some pants or..something" I stuttered while blushing and avoiding looking at his semi toned physique.

"What running off so soon?" He smirked. "Don't you want to know what happened last night?"

"But I thought you said-"

"I said we didn't sleep together, there's a whole lot that could've been done before that step" he stated while laughing.

"Right. Well. Café and chat? I'm assuming you don't have much food in the house?"

"Uh sure, are you sure you want to be seen...in public...on an obvious walk of shame." He said holding back chuckles.

"Jesus Michael I'm a grown woman who has a life, there's no "shame" in that asshole. Now pants please?"

We both headed for his room, he put a new shirt on and he threw a pair of grey sweats at me. I pulled them on and they surprisingly fit quite well.

"You wear me well Ms...?"

"Taylor. My last name is Taylor. And yours Mr?"

"Uh..Clifford."

"Like the big red dog? I can work with that" I said while laughing. He shot me a glare and motioned for me to follow him.

We jumped in his car and on the ride there I texted Kelly to let her know I was okay and would be home later. She gets really worried, understandably considering she knows the type of people I can attract. Michael was right, what if he wasn't there?...I shudder at the thought.

"You cold? I have a sweatshirt in the back if you need it."

"No, no I'm fine. Thanks though."

We pulled up to the café and luckily it didn't seem too busy. Except I saw Derek through the window. I looked over at Michael who didn't seem overly excited about his presence. It's obvious there's a more personal reason he doesn't like him, and I don't think it's about me. Before I could say anything about it Michael was walking into the shop, headed for Derek. I quickly followed.
