Goodbye. A simple word that can mean so little. A meaningless phrase or a passing comment that you put no thought into, but can also hold so much pain, emotion,heartbreak.
In this case, the latter.
How do you know when to say goodbye? When is it too late? How do you know when to let go when you have been fighting so hard, for so long, just so you can keep them for a little bit longer.
Goodbye holds a tiny piece of forever. And everytime you let go, everytime you say goodbye, it eats away a little more of your forever. Your forever with them. My forever with him. Colson Baker.
