Things started to get complicated,Mabel's family was struggling financially and all fingers were pointed to young Sweetie as the cause of the problem. Mabel's old school mate who had become a lawyer convinced them to send Mr.Phil to court and to report him to social welfare. The lawyer,Jayne promised to help them win the case. So,they did all that was required and an official date was set to judge the case. A random person will ask how people who were struggling financially were able to raise money to send a person to court...well it's still a mistery to me too, lol.
Finally, the date was due to judge the case between the two families, but before that,a sample of the child's blood was taken to see if the child's blood matches with the dads,it was a court procedure. At the courtroom, both sides were heard and nonetheless Mabel and her family won the case,Mr.Phil was asked to compensate Mabel and her family at a fixed amount and he was also made to take responsibility of the child and provide monthly money for the child's upkeep.
oh and The court ordered for the child to use her paternal families name.she was named Victoria Obaa Yaa Addae.up to date ,people still referred to her as Sweetie.
Victoria was sent to an international school "Leaders international school."She won the hearts of the teachers and students, pertaining to how smart and intelligent she was.she excelled in all subjects but maths.she mostly had an average in maths. Her colleagues brought difficult assignments to her and she helped them without hesitation.she competed for her school at any quiz competition and they always took the first or second positions.Back at home, she received lots of gifts from the people in her vicinity because of how hardworking and obedient she was.
