karl went back to his room, and watched tv for a few hours, ignoring the duck situation. after about four hours, he goes to his backyard to water his flowers. and sure enough, in his gaze, is a duck. that same yellow duck from before.

----

"what the heck..." karl muttered to himself, trying to grasp the situation. why was it back? why was it here? he closed his eyes and slowly breathed out, calming himself. he stepped outside, feeling the heated rocks under his feet; he had forgot to put on shoes.  a warm gust of wind hit him as he walked over to his flowers. they were Calendula flowers, planted by the previous owner of the house. he went on watering the flowers, paying no mind to the duck waddling around on the other side of his backyard.

he finishes up and walks back inside. the duck doesn't really matter anyway. sure it might be a but unusual, but he's seen weirder things, right? he decides to just forget about it and go on with his day.

8:30

Karl woke up to a rather annoying ringing. groaning he walks over to his desk, shutting off the alarm. he had put the alarm on his desk to avoid sleeping in, but he found that it didn't work so well as he would just walk back to his bed go to sleep. he stepped back to his bed, creaks coming from the floors. he lays back onto the sheets, covering himself in the blanket.

he just sits there a bit thinking.

he hadn't gone out in a long time. he just sits in his house all day looking at his phone. "i should do something" he thought to himself. "dream has a shift at cold stone, maybe i should head over there!" (a/n: cold stone is my local ice cream shop)

he pulled off his covers, a sudden burst of energy hitting him. he pulled on his usual hoodie and walked to the door. it creaked open, revealing a creature behind it. "another one!?" he said in shock. standing before him, was yet another duck.

"maybe it's the same one?" he thought. "well, whatever."

he passed the duck, heading to his garage.

he took his skateboard from it's place on the wall, opening the garage door. the skateboard was old and beat up. it made sense, he had owned it since he was a kid. setting it down, he put his feet on the skateboard, and made his way down the street.
