PART Four: Katie
2:48am
I woke up to the sound of a zombies groan. I saw the zombie dragging a body behind it. I ran after it, thinking the body was James. When I caught up with it, it turned around and dropped the body. I knew my main target was the body not the zombie. It dived for me, but I dodged it and it fell, face first, onto the cold desert sand. I grabbed the body and saw messy ginger hair, James.
2:52am
I shook James as hard as I could, but I got no reply. The zombie jumped on my back trying to bite my neck, but I stood up and turned, which swung it off. It hit the ground with a thud. I stabbed my sword into the zombie and pulled it out and shook James again. There was still no reply. I took him back to base, and got some of the river water and dropped it on his face, as I saw this on a movie once, and that, luckily, worked perfectly fine. He woke up and I told him he was took by a zombie, but I killed it. He said all he could remember was getting hit over the head with a rock the size of a football. Then he blacked out.
8:47am
After a long nights sleep, to think this out, I actually kind of like the island, when its not night time of course. The night terrified me. Just the thought of me being killed whilst I'm asleep, was horrible. I didn't want to die at all. "James!" I called.
"Yeah, what do you want?" he answered.
"We're going to have to move base as this is becoming a regular hunting ground for the monsters now," I said.
"I don't want to move as I've lived here ever since I got lost," James said back.
"We have to move away from here!" I shouted, "fine then! I'm going, but you can stay here if you want!"
I walked off to find a great place to camp, with my blue-blooded sword gripped in my hand. It was raining and my hair was getting soaked.
9:35am
I carried on walking until I saw a nice place to build a wooden shelter. This shelter of mine would be nothing like James's, this would be a small wooden shack to live in. I got my sword and started cutting a tree. It started to fall so I shouted, "TIMBER!". But as it fell, I heard a scream and the crash of the tree. I ran over, following the thick, long tree. About halfway across the fallen tree was a girl. She had light brown hair with a pretty pink bow in it. She was wearing a red dress that covered just below her knees. "Help me then, don't just stare!" she said. I rolled the tree as far as I could, which was just enough so she could sit up. "Let's both push together," I suggested. She agreed and we both pushed and the tree was off her. She stood up, perfectly able to, and told me, "Before you ask, I don't know how I got here, I'm a 14 year old girl, and I do not know anything about how to survive, so I hope you can teach me," she said, seeming nice enough to stay with. "Hi, I'm Steve, and I'm 13, and yes, I do know how to survive, and I will teach you," I replied. She seemed happy with that and said, "Hi Steve, I'm Katie,". Katie and me walked for about half an hour until Katie found an even better piece of land for a shelter.
11:57am
Me and Katie went to get wood, without none of us in the way this time. A few trees had fell when we cut them up into planks to build with. After a while we had created a small shack with a wooden floor. "Hey! Steve! Look over there, it's a sheep! Should you kill it?" said Katie.
"Yeah, I'll go and you sit in here," I answered. I went off to kill the sheep, but I didn't want to kill it as I already had BOTH of the yellowfin tunas, and that was enough for a week or two. So I caught the sheep and got its wool instead. I brought it back to Katie and she said we could make a bed so it was easier for us to sleep. There was only enough wool for one bed so that either meant we slept together (I didn't particularly like that one) or one of us slept on the cold, soggy floor. None of us wanted to sleep on the floor, so were going to be sleeping together, but at least it's good for warmth.
9:27pm
Me and Katie are in bed and like I said before, it definitely gives a lot of warmth. Also, Katie's hair is soft and warm too. The bed we made was comfortable and very warm with both of us in there.
8:47am
"Hey, Katie, what are you doing up so early?" I asked.
"I woke up early and I used your sword to kill a chicken, oh yeah, and I plucked it, and now it's cooking on a fire outside," she said.
Katie was actually a good survivor, even though she thinks she isn't.
