❄️ Nicholas pov ❄️

I looked back to Merlin with a pleading gaze
"Master, I'm ready for this." I put a hand to my chest with a somewhat hopeful smile
"    Doubtful." Merlin respond this just made me mad.
"I've spent years preparing, centuries--!!" I snapped
"Silence!" Merlin yelled making my ears hurt I had pretty sensitive hearing. I sighed as I took my hands away from head.
"I mean, silence, all of you. Can you not hear that?" Marlin looked up as I looked around there was something but what? I watched as everyone ether got ready to fight to grabbed a weapon. The hole place started to creek in preparation I turned on my bracer as Archie flew to my shoulder.
"Something wicked this way comes." Merlin spoke walking away from the clock that had gone off. I went over to a window taking a look out side there was nothing at first but I could see what looked like eyes. Out of nowhere a shadow mephit jumped out at me but I didn't flinch. A hole loud of shadow mephits where out side Archie was right there's more.

(3rd person pov)
A/n before the POV switching

"Shadow mephits? Nichr, did you lead them here?" Merlin turned to nick obviously annoyed with what his student may have caused
"No, no! I mean, I don't think so?" Nicholas chukeld a bit nervous before looking back out side Archie who was still on nyx's shoulders spoke up
"    Yes, we did." The shadow mephit continued to attack the windows in an attempt to get into a little bookshop.
"He found us. The barrier won't hold for long. We must make egress! Tobias, take my things!" Merlin used his magic to take both his things and Toby on the roof with Toby screaming
"All of you, to the roof!" The others ran off as the student followed his master
"Nicholas, I said get to safety!" Merlin blasted a few shadow mephit out of existence while nick was just getting started
"I've got this. I can help." Nicholas was back to back with Merlin icey blue and emerald green magic take off the shadow mephits one by one.
"

Ugh. Still trying to earn that staff, are you?" Merlin rolled his eyes as the teal haired boy took out three more mephits
"    Yeah. I've learned a thing or two since we last met." Nick called blasting yet another mephit. The two ran up the stairs as Merlin switched the runes on nicks bracer
"Use the Flux Rune Second. It's stronger." He  corrected making nick shake his head.
"    All right! I knew that!" Nyx yelled before noticing his fimiler in a ring of shadow mephits
"Nyx!" The black cat called in fear
"Arch!" Nyx change the runes again in to a rope spell to get his furry friend out of the ring of monsters
"I'm fine. No need to worry." Archie called from under nyx arm. He dropped arch as his hand got burned but a candle flame. Nyx turned the runes on his bracer again with a smirk. In a epic show he used the candela to his vantage burning a few of them mephits with a somewhat dark laugh.
"    Fire?" Merlin ran over worry write on his face.
"    Yeah. Magic fire!" Nick smiled and did finger guns but Merlin was not amused.
"In a bookstore?" He raised his voice so his student could hear him over the mephits screeching
"    But mephits are vulnerable to fire--." Nicholas had to talk fast as he was pushed but Merlin "    Move it!"

On the rooftop...

Toby:    (grunts)
Arrrgh:    (growls)
Steve:    (screams)

The battle continue on to the roof with Toby,Steve, and arrrgh. With his Warhammer toby took out a few mephits but not all. Nicholas and Merlin ran on seen blasting the mephits as they went.
"    Stand back!" Merlin through a potion into the ground summoning a giant ship.
"Whoa! Ship just got real!" Steve said in amazement before getting throw on the ship by arrrgg. Marlin and arrrgh ran to get on the ship as mephits attacked them. Arrrgh had to mephits on his back that nick took out without a problem. Merlin inserted his staff to the Holder letting him steer the ship. Nicholas looked over the ship side only to see a knight clad in black and green armor
"    Boy..." The knight spoke spooking nick a little. The knight used his sword to lunch small crystals at the ship.
"Look out!" Merlin pulled nyx down out of rang from the green knight. He used his staff to redirect the ship away from the bookstore and off in to the night

On the ship...

"Awesome sauce!" Toby screamed in excitement Steve was running around the ship looking from ledge to ledge.
"Whoo!" The two said in unison they looked over the edge of the ship
"This is so cool!" Yet Another excited yell From toby.
"    What the heck is that?" Steve point to something in the distance that they were soon coming up on.
"    Welcome, young squires, to Camelot." Merlin walked over to the tow as there faces fill
"Camelot? As in anceint-old-people-times Camelot?" Toby leaned over the edge looking closer hopefully not falling to his death.
"    Excuse me, I have a question. How is this castle flying right now?" Steve also looked over the edge pointing out to the green light that lit up the castle
"The Heart of Avalon. Its magic keeps Camelot aloft, powered by time itself." Merlin steered the ship closer to the floating Castle a Knight on one of the towers of the castle waving over to Marlin.
"    Sir Galahad, how look the skies?" Merlin called to his friend.
"    All quiet, my old friend!" The old knight way of the ship off as I started to pick up speed.
"Keep your eyes on the horizon."he yelled to the rest of the children on the ship Steve screaming his head off while Toby held on to the edge of the ship for to your life. Nicholas stood there like nothing bothered him as the ship started going down at a high speed.
"    I say, coming in a little hot, don't you think?" Archie held holding on to Nicholas's hoodie hiding in the hood.
"Rubbish!" Merlin sped up the ship until I landed inside the castle of Camelot. Everyone got off of the ship Steve and Toby yelling and excitement like they usually did while Nicholas wandered around not too far looking at the castle he hasn't seen in years.
"It's been 900 years since I was last here. Hasn't changed a bit. Except for the flying part." Nicholas chuckle does he turns the others who had somewhat shocked faces and confused ones.
" 'Nine hundred years'? Yeah, right. You're like, what? Like, 19?" Steve asked using his hands to gesture towards the teal haired boy who just rolled his eyes. Archie pop this cute little head out of Nicholas's Hood just answer for him
"Give or take a few centuries."
