Jezzabelle's POV

"Belle, you're hurting me." Esme complained once again, I had to chuckle this time. It's her fault.

"You're the one who fell asleep without doing your hair." Since Esme is still grounded— yes one week later, I'm going to be taking her everywhere.

She got invited to a birthday party, her friend showed up with her mom at the house, suddenly the word 'no' disappeared. She's going with Sofia obviously, invited or not she won't be alone. I'm going out myself too, with Arianna.

We're going to the beach.

"My hair is never tangled, Belle." Sofia said from behind me, her small hands hugged my neck while she kissed my cheek.

Esme huffed, "You're always kissing her ass." I could tell her she was annoyed, I don't have favorites. Might be overused but I truly love both of my sisters equally. Esme is kind of right. I won't admit it though.

"Okay, you're all done. Do you like it?" I handed her my hand mirror, I put her hair in two cute curly ponytails. I left a few strands out in front because I know she'd like it. "Yes! Thank you Belle!" She turned around and gave me a hug, I felt a smile forming up my face. "You're welcome." I kissed her cheek before I got up to put all the hair things away— my ring tone rung, picking my phone up and looking at the contact's name left a gasp on my lips.

Mom.

"Hello?"

"Hi baby," I gasped, my mind being completely confused at her sudden call but my heart beat so fast that I could hear it.

"Where are you? I miss you so much, Mom." Esme and Sofia came running to me, asking to talk but I couldn't. I need to talk to her, know where she is. If she's okay, if dad's okay.

"Let me talk to her,"

"No, let me." I quickly groaned before shushing them. "Are those my princesses?" I mumbled a quick yeah, sighing when she told me she wanted to talk to them.

What about me?

I handed Sofia the phone first, she seemed more excited. "Hi mommy, yes I'm behaving. I miss you momm—" She couldn't finish her sentence since Esme took the phone from her.

"Hi Mom. I miss you too— when are you coming back?" I watched her face expressions closely, anger and disappointment written all over her face. What did she tell her now?

"Don't make promises you can't complete mom! You're such a liar— No, mom you're never here, you don't know anything!" I quickly took the phone from her, she's on thin line for sneaking a boy in and now she's yelling at her mother?

She might have her reasons.. knowing mom.

"Hello?"

"Jezzabelle?"

"Yeah, mom. What's wrong, why's Esme so mad?"

"I— I told her that I didn't know when I'd be going home, and she has to understand Jezzabelle I have to work, you guys know this." I felt my mood change, confusion took over me all over again. A bit of anger as well.

Since when has a paycheck mattered more than your kids?

"Mom, but.. we're your daughters. We— we need our parents with us. I know—" Crap, I'm tearing up. Just what I need, great. "I know that work is important, and I know we need the money. I know you want to give us a better future but how are you proposing to do that when you're a thousand miles away? Mom, I don't even know what state you're in. I don't even know if you're in the country." I felt the hot tears streaming down my face, both Esme and Sofia had left. I was left alone in my room, holding onto my phone like it was the only thing that mattered.
