Jezzabelle's POV

       "Yeah I understand."

"Obviously you don't, if you keep doing it!"

I can't believe I'm getting scolded by a thirteen year old.

"It won't happen again, mom." I mocked Esme, scolding me about not cooking for them won't make me do it. We have a Suzy for a reason, she's a friend, and she's our maid.

"I can't with you." She said before leaving and closing my door shot behind her. I rolled my eyes before placing my eyes onto my book again.

She really took fifty precious minutes out of my beautiful Friday night to talk about food.

That lit up a light bulb in my head, I should get some snacks while the theres any left. I rushed down the stairs, and into the pantry.

Before I knew it, it was too late. Sofia was sobbing on the ground, I'm assuming Esme hit her because she was holding her cheek.

"Why you crying?"

"Esm-e, threw the peanut-s a-t my—my faceee." She cried as more tears poured down her face.

This girl is so dramatic, I don't even have time to be in my big sister duty.
I have a book waiting for me.

Taking everything my hands could hold, I ran back upstairs. It sounds absolutely absurd saying it out loud, but I find reading soothingly calming. When I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a writer. I owned my very small book collection.

I had a mixture of novels, and adventure books in a small shelf on the corner of my room. I remember coming home everyday from school, happy to just sit in that corner and read until my eyes would get worn out — it was indeed my favorite part of the day. Over the years, as I started to grow I grew out of that habit. I noticed how no one liked to read, not for fun. I was ten, and wanted to fit. Yes, I threw my books out.

Horrible idea.

I had rare books, I really wanted to make my own library. Now that I don't care what people think about me anymore, I bought a few books last night.

It's only been a couple hours, yet I'm almost done with one of my books. It's an average love book, but it has a weird plot. A twisted plot if you ask me.
It's a book series but I only bought the first one.

'Did I Mention I Love You?"

The book title read, it's kind of idiotic how she feel in love with her step brother. Who was a dick to her, but love is love— I guess. Nonetheless, I was in an exciting part. Tyler's girlfriend found out he's in love with Eden.

"Ou, I hate you so much." I muttered to myself, not like she'd hear me. I just my thoughts to be heard by me. The book almost ended anyway, and I doubt I'd read the rest of the series.

I felt an annoying buzz on my butt, huffing I picked up my phone and threw it to the end of my bed. I thought I had it on do not disturb. I looked for my light remote in my messy bed, once found I turned off my bedroom light, and lit my night stand light. The light was much lower but I could read perfectly fine. Too much light bothered me.

Buzzing.

I can't even read in peace, I swear if it's my sisters..

"Hello." I said in a dry tone, my eyes still focused on my book. Whoever it was, wouldn't be on the phone for too long because I'm hanging up in two minutes.

The line stayed silent for a second, but I could hear yelling from the other line, cheering like "Hello?" I said again, irritated that no one was talking.
