You feel so trapped in your 9 to 5,
You’re almost tempted to commit crime to feel alive,
A slave to your daily routine,
You’re only young but already feel like a washed-up-has-been,
Is it so bad to want to better yourself?
You’re not after fame, glory of wealth,
But you’re sick of this repetitive grind,
Wish you could go back and unwind,
Follow your original dreams and passion,
Maybe go back, work in a harder fashion,
It seems like this lifestyle of mind numbing labour, of minimum wage,
Is eternal, feels like it will last an age.
But head up high, it’s never too late,
To take control and change your fate.
