It all started at the early age of eight, when Jaemin started to believe in true love.

Whenever his parents were together, he couldn't help but envy them.

How they would hold each other's hands and look at each other's eyes so lovingly—it made him feel butterflies in his stomach.

For other kids, it would seem corny or gross seeing their parents acting all so lovey-dovey, but to Jaemin, he didn't mind. Instead, he wanted to do that too someday.

With the love knowledge he had stored in his brain at ten years old, by watching Disney movies, he felt like he was ready to love and be loved.

Yes, he knew that he was already being loved—by his parents that is. But he wanted to be loved by his soulmate, the love of his life, someone who he would cherish forever.

He wanted to love someone and for them to like him back as well,

and so he waited, and waited, and waited, for that someone to love him back.

But they never came, not within all eighteen years of his life.

With his, he assumes, terrible luck—nobody would reciprocate his love.

And that lead to many rejections, crying and broken hearts.

No matter what, nobody would love him, or at least just like him back.

He was hopeless but he couldn't give up, he didn't want to.

He still has hope, he truly does.

Which that all lead to his current situation;

not knowing what to do next.

He was in his freshman years when he had taken a liking to this one boy in his class,

Mark Lee.

In his humble opinion, Mark is perfect.

The boy being only a year older than him, he had dark brown hair which was now dyed to black.

Taken from Jaemin's observations;

Mark is intelligent, he's cute and handsome, very sweet and caring. He likes to eat fruits a lot, especially watermelon. He's the living definition of Fluff-ball, is the best little brother, and has immaculate song writing skills.

He had a full list of what he likes about Mark, but just to give a brief and simple explanation, he was in love.

Mark was in almost all his classes, giving him the perfect chance to ask him out on a date and finally start dating—but, of course, that was only in his dreams.

Because with his constant shyness, he could never do that.

And unfortunately, that left with four years of unrequited love with him.
