Chapter Two

I am running as fast as i can, not minding the people around me and holding my gun as if my life depends on it.

Aris is infront of me while my mom is running besides me when we suddenly heard someone screaming.

"Ahhhh! There's a wilders in the city" people screamed.

I turned my head to look around to see and observe if there is a wilders following us.

The people are running so fast causing a stampede infront of the gate of the border, fighting each other to get in first just to avoid the wilders.

The military are wildly scattered trying to fight the wilders and trying to make everyone not to panic.

When we reach the borders, I noticed how everyone is shouting and forcing the officers to let them in.

"Aris we have to get infront of the gate so that we can get inside, there are too many people crowding in here, we have to hurry!, do you know another way to get in? It will be too hard for us to squeeze in ourself, we might not be able to get in if we crammed ourselves here". I told aris as i grab my mother's hand beside me and hold it.

Yeah let's go and follow me, i know a way on how to get in-front.

Wait aris I think we lost dad! I can't see him, he was just behind us!!.

Mom have you seen dad?

"Everyone please take it easy and don't panic, everything is now under control", one of the army said as trying to calm down the people.

"Please make a line and don't push each other, everyone will be able to get in, we will just have to check all of you. Everyone whose under 30 years old and above will have to line up on the right side and anyone whose under 29 years old and below will be check on the left side".

"Wait, what? Why do you have to separate us?, some of us here are family, we have to get in together."

"Why do we need to be categorised by our age? What's this for?"

Some people asking and complaining.

"Aria go with your brother and don't lose sight of each other, i have to go and line up on the other side, let's just see each other inside. Your father was just probably stuck on the back, I'll go look for him then head to the line".

Mom it's too dangerous for all of us to be separated, aris can go back and look for dad and we can just go sneak in together.

No aria! We have to follow what they want, it's all for everyone's safety.

"Mom maybe you can just stay here with aria for a while and I'll look for dad". Aris said.

No Just stay here aris with aria and line up so that both of you can get in faster, we don't want to waste time.

"Hey you! Ms. You aren't supposed to be here you have to line up on the right side", an officer said as he grabbed my mom's arm and forcing her to move and go on the other side and taking her away from me.

Sir wait! We are still waiting for our dad, i said as i stop the officer from grabbing my mom.

Ms. We have to move forward faster, we will close the border before sunrise. Your father are probably already lined up on the other side. There is too many people wanting to get in so it's better for all of you to stop waiting and just line up on your respective side.

Aris, aria! Just follow what i said until we meet each other inside, okay? Mom said as the officer is dragging her away from us.

Understood mom! I replied as i slowly lose sight of her as the officer is taking her.

let's go! I told aris as i hold his arm and went directly to the line where the other is.

I have been standing here for 20 minutes and it seems like the line isn't moving forward, i noticed that the people in front are screaming and mumbling words I can't understand.

Aris, I'll just go in front to see what's happening, i said as i walk forward.

I saw that some people are causing a scene, hey!  Can i asked what happened? I said as i ask a lady who walk past through me.

Ahm based from what i heard, they are causing a scene cause that man doesn't want to follow the officers instructions, he doesn't want to left his daughter on this side.

Oh okay, I thought there's something wrong going on, i hope they can figure the situation out so that we can all get inside, it's already 1:00 am and everyone is tired. As i said to the lady.

After knowing what was happening i went back to where aris is and told him what happened in front.

Aris do you think that mom already found dad? Did you try contacting her?

No, there's no signal. Let's just hope that they are together and already inside. It's just so annoying that these people are too noisy, we should already have been inside if not just because of these people who keep making a scene and delaying us.

Yeah, let's just wait, there's already an officer who's trying to resolve the problem. We will make it inside.

After minutes of waiting we have already reach the front of the gate but before letting us in, there are officers that are checking our belongings, aris was called by an officers to check him when someone tapped me on the back.

"Miss, you have to put your belongings on this tray. An officer said.

I let go of baseball bat and grab my gun in my pants pocket to put on the tray and after that i take off my backpack and give it to the officer who's in-front of me.

After leaving all my stuffs in the try, an officer suddenly grabbed me and told me that he have to check my body.
