It was about a week in. And it seemed with each passing day, my curiosity about the mysterious stranger grew and expanded. She was so quite and I was in dire need to know about her. Then again, curiosity killed me. She sat nearer and nearer, each day. Until the day we sat right next to each other. Both hard at work, trying just to make it through the day. But the words on the back of my mouth, were finally mustered, very nervously, I might add. "Hi" "Hey" She responded. And my nerves took over my mouth. "So once, someone told me a vagina was just an inverted penis" and though it was the most random statement Ive ever made in my 16 years of life, and I felt so unintelligent and humiliated, my cheeks turned a bright shade of pink. But luckily for me, she just started cracking up, unable to contain her laughter. It was such weird thing to say, but hey. Can't complain. As we sat and typed away at math, we also started to chat. "So Whats your name?" "Adalyn, but most people call me Ada. You?" "Im Tara" "so what class are you in here for?" I questioned. "Algebra 2, you?" "Algebra 1a" after a while of talking about how dreary algebra was. And I had not noticed that we skipped that awkward acquaintance and normal friends phase, and just went straight to being best friends. And during our chatting, the subject of pets and animals came up. "I have a dog named Donnie and two cats. You?" "I have a cat and two emus" "Youre emu house?!?" After a few minutes of utter confusion, we realized the same house the she passed by each day with the two large, peculiar birds, was the same one in which I resided. "Do you wanna walk home with me?" Turns out, Tara lives a block away. "Is that even a question?!?" On our way home, we grabbed some chicken nuggets from McDonalds, and as we strolled, got to know one another
