I need to get away. That's all she thought as she threw the clothes she had taken out during her brief time in Arizona back into her suitcase. There was nothing else in her mind other than those words. She had already took noticed of her trembling arms and her shaky breath. But she ignored them and continued to pack.
She had left Mystic Falls because she had felt stuck. She felt that drama and tragedy was surrounding her life, suffocating to her. She needed to get out and find some sort of peace. This isn't what she wanted. She didn't want to be in some sort of love triangle between two impulsive and relentless and vampires.
Was it even a love triangle? She didn't feel the love. She most definitely felt the lust. How both men stared at her, talked to her and even touched her showed lust.
A snap was heard in between the gasping noise of their breaths, but it didn't deter them. She did briefly wondered what it was before her black, lace strapless bra fell from her body releasing her perky breasts. Her pink nipples grew harder as the cold air from the open window across the room rushed through over her body.
She felt a finger softly brushed against, carefully, as if testing the water, but then became rougher as it gave it a pinch. The pinch turned into a full grope as he cupped her breast and delicately squeezed it. It fit his large hands perfectly. She wondered who it was, but she truly didn't care. It felt good and that's all she needed to know.
She gave a dry gulped as that memory involuntarily displayed itself in her mind. That. That is what she was trying avoid. Yes, it would be nice to get into relationship, but not with two vampires with body counts higher than she could imagine.
RING! RING! RING!
A loud blaring sound came from the phone on the dresser near the bed, shaking her out of her thoughts. She didn't want to answer it because she wanted to focus on on packing before Damon came back to the house, nor did she want the person calling to think that she was ignoring them. But the sound was painful to her throbbing head. She could no longer take it. She grabbed the phone and squinted as the bright glare from it burnt her eyes.
Oh god...Elena. Her best friend. How could she forget about her best friend. Granted her and Damon weren't together, but they did have something right? Ouch. Her heart clenched as she thought about Elena and Damon...together.
No. She doesn't get to feel jealous. Damon was Elena's first. Damon loves Elena. It was something she didn't care to admit but something she needed to admit.
Sighing, she swiped right on her phone, accepting the call.
"H-Hey, Elena." She greeted, her voice hoarse. She gave a quick clear before speaking again. "What's up?"
"Hey, you ok? You don't sound too good."
"I'm fine." The sentence was quick, as if she didn't want to discuss the matter further.
"Ok," Elena said awkwardly. "I just wanted to check up on you. Did you forget your promise?"
"What promise?"
"Caroline when you told me you were leaving you promised you would call me every day. You didn't forget already did you?"
She sighed, frustratedly. "Well I'm sorry Elena, a lot has been going on."
"Like what? What's wrong Care?" The worried and caring tone in her best friend's voice squeezed her heart. Caroline closed her eyes, taking in the warmness of her voice. She wanted to reveal everything at that moment, but she couldn't. She knew that Elena wouldn't take her hooking up with the guy that she possibly love too kindly.
"Nothing."
"Are you sure?"
Author's note: I was going over my old fanfiction and I saw this unpublished chapter I made years ago. Not sure I remember where I was going with this.
