Yahaba PoV

I got to sleep in today since it's officially the weekend. But sadly there is a catch to this bonus sleep, a tradeoff if you will.

"SHIGERUUU, SHIGUUU!!!!"

My little brother.

He is five years old.

I have to babysit him.

Every.

Single.

Saturday.

He decided that today would be a good day to wake me up by barging into my room, jumping on my bed, and shouting my name. It was an effective method, but annoying nonetheless.

"Alright, what's today's gameplan," I said groggily while he ran around my room.

"I want eggs for brecky and I want to bring Oster to the dog park!!" He shouted.

Good thing he's cute.

"I'll get to breakfast can you put a leash on Oster?"

Oh right, Oster is our family dog. He is a really big black labradoodle. His name came from me wanting to name the dog Oscar, but when I told Haru, my little brother, he was really little and so he repeated the name but it sounded more like Oster. He called the dog that for months and soon enough I started calling it that too.

I  rolled out of bed and made my way to the kitchen, not bothering to change from my pair of sweats and a Nirvana T-shirt (I accidentally wrote T-shit *internal face-palming*) I quickly scrambled an egg for Haru and toasted a piece of bread for myself. He finished eating and putting the harness and attaching the leash to Oster, so we left.

This was my first mistake.

We made it to the dog park and Haru unleashed Oster so he could go play with the other dogs while he and I sat on a bench close by.

My first mistake was leaving the house but I can confidently say that my second mistake was not changing out of the clothes I slept in.

Third mistake could be not putting on concealer to cover up my eye bags from too many nights that turned into mornings.

All these mistakes came into my head when I saw someone walking towards me. I tried to shield my face and turn away but they already saw me.

"Yahoo Creampuff-chan!" Oikawa-san. He was here. Oh shit. He had Iwaizumi-san right behind him with a dog leash in his hand.

"Oh heeey! Oikawa-san and Iwaizumi-san!" I say nervously.

"Did you and Maddog come here together... IS IT A DATE?!?" Oikawa screeched, alerting me of a new presence that was standing behind the bench I was sat on. Kyoutani must have walked over to the bench when I was occupied with hiding myself from my captain. I turned around and he was holding two coffees in his hand.

Maddog responded by scoffing and walking a few feet down to the next bench. He handed one of the coffees to the girl who sat there. She looked about sixteen or seventeen and had pretty blonde hair pulled into two high pigtails on her head.

"BOO!!" shouted Oikawa childishly but his mood changed instantaneously as he grabbed onto Iwaizumi's forearm and practically begged him for coffee.

Iwaizumi shouted at him to be quieter in public before he marched off to the cafe without saying goodbye or that he would be back.

That left me, Oikawa, Kyoutani, and the girl to whom Kyoutani gave the coffee.

Oikawa ran over to where Kyoutani was seated. "Hey, Maddog-chan who's this?" Oikawa said enthusiastically gesturing to the completely red-faced blonde sitting beside Kyoutani.

"Hi-i I'm Sa-Sakuni Kyoutani, Kentaro's older sister, are y-you Oikawa Tooru?" Oikawa and her then started talking. She remained flustered almost the entire time.

I turned to Kyoutani and initiated a conversation, I know so brave. "You have an older sister?" I asked curiously.

"If you count being three fucking minutes older as something to mention" he scoffed before taking a sip of his coffee and making a disgusted face. "Saku I swear to god if you drink my coffee I will not let you use the TV tonight," he snarled at his sister.

I looked towards his sister and she was already drinked (could someone tell me what the past tense of drink is like drank sounds weird but I dunno, drunk is a different word drinking is a verb so I'm just confused) half of the coffee that was seemingly meant for Kyoutani.

"Ken, it's not a big deal, it's a one sugar packet difference," Kyoutani's sister explained.

"Well sorry if I don't like my coffee tasting like sugar with a side of caffeine," He explained bitterly as he yanked the identical cup from his sister's hand and replaced it with the one he previously grasped.

With that settled, Oikawa and Sakuni kept talking about nonsense until Iwaizumi came back and reminded Oikawa that his nephew needs to be picked up soon. I was also informed that the Kyoutani's had to go. Haru and I left the dog park and made our way home.

After finishing my day I lay awake studying my ceiling. It was a chance encounter that was for sure but can't help but think that seeing Kyoutani today is a sign of some sort, meaning that I have to pursue my friendship with him.

A/N -  I'm back. This story is moving along quite slowly possibly because I have no plot but that is my own fault so meh. Hope you enjoyed it if you read it. Have a good day/night/weird space time!
