"Since you failed so horribly, do I still have to do the challenge?" I jumped at the voice knocking me out of my dream. Kyoutani seemed like he was taunting me now.

"You're not getting off that easy. But if you fail too then Watari pays for both of us." I doubt he can do it. Why else would I go first just so he could get out of it? I also really want to see him do it.

"Bet" With that, I walked off the mat to make room for him "Watch and learn" very slowly he repeated my actions, bending backward with his arms above his head reaching for the ground. The difference: He bent his back so far it looked like a fucking slinky. Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. His hands hit the ground and he could still arch his back more by pressing his arms and legs straight looking like an even slinky slinky he kicked his legs and unfolded from the position. A smirk never left his face. I think it was Pure Magic

"Well I'll take two ramen cups" I admitted to defeat. He beat me at this fair and square and his flexibility is undeniable.

"Everyone ready for some three on threes" oh great it's time for real practice to begin.

"Yahaba and I will be team captains and pick you guys we will be having subs" Oikawa explained the game and its first to ten points.

"Oikawa-san you pick fist" I was trying to be nice cause I realllllly don't want to deal with a pouty Oikawa

"Hmmmmm... I pick Maddog-chan" Oikawa surprised us all by not picking his 'dear IWA-CHAN'

"Ok, I pick Watari" I chose our libero because from what I could tell Kyoutani was extremely strong and I for sure could not receive it cleanly.

"Ok, I'll pick Iwa-chan" . Well there he goes, possibly picking two of the strongest people here.

"I pick Kunimi" he can block and receive and spike ok so It will be a good pick I hope. We continued picking our teams so we could start. My team's starting lineup is me, Watari, and Kunimi. There is Oikawa, Kyoutani, and Iwazumi. First to 10 points wins.

Kunimi got a lucky service ace hitting it just over the net. They received the next one easily. What happened next though I did not expect. After a receive from Iwaizumi-san, it was sent to Oikawa-san who called out Kyoutani's name, setting the ball to the center. Kyoutani ran up and spiked the ball. I now understand why he wanted to stretch his back. When he jumped his back arched as his arm flew back. He hit the spike where Kunimi and I were blocking. He hit the ball through the middle of Kunimi's hands. The sheer power could give someone a concussion or dizziness from watching the ball slice through the air. Watari was positioned behind the block and though the ball was slightly cushioned by Kunimi it still looked hard to receive.

"HOLY SHIT kyoutani that was insane" Kyoutani looked unphased when he saw the rally play out. Had he gotten used to that amount of strength? HOLY SHIT IS THIS GUY GOOD!

After practice my team ended up losing the match but Kyoutani deserved the win. At one point though he jumped for a ball that was clearly not set to him and almost tripped over Iwaizumi he scoffed it off, but when we locked eyes after the incident he turned away quickly, maybe he thought that I found that rude and aggressive and would not be his friend, on the contrary I would commend him for his stamina being able to jump that many times for both bocking and spikes while still having energy after practice.

Once I had left the gym I was once again greeted by Kyoutani...

"Hey Creampuff, I believe you still owe me something from the vending machines" He said all this with a shit eating smirk on his face. "Do you have a break in the 5th period?" He asked

"I do but I'm in the extra art class so I only have the first half of the break" I have to go to the extra class not because I stink at art, quite the opposite really, I was entered into a competition at the Miyagi mall and I need to work on my entry.

"Cool, could you meet me by the cafeteria?" I agreed and he turned and jogged to the skate park located just south of the school, he pulled out a skateboard from behind the building he just passed and broke into that as if balance came as the easiest thing for him.

That night I did indeed find myself thinking about the new kid on our volleyball team. I found myself listing pros and cons about becoming his friend. The list went as follows...

PROS

He seems to not hate me

He saved me from breaking my neck

He is brave - he scoffed at Oikawa and Iwaizumi

He was not pestered by Makki and Matsun

CONS

He seems slightly aggressive - Who isn't?

He made fun of my nickname - If I heard it I would too

He's going to make me buy him food when I'm broke - he does not know that and he also won a bet for it

Looking back onto the pros and cons list I realized I had a reason for all the pros but I contradicted all the cons. I guess Kyoutani would not be too bad to befriend. Only thing left is to get him food from the vending machine

a/n FIRST TIME ACTUALLY STICKING TO A SCHEDULE I'M PROUD. It's been 90 degrees for 3 days and I think I'm starting to melt. This part is mostly proof read but I might have grammatical errors or misspelled names. Anyways hope you have a good Day/Night/Weird Space Time
