I clutch my bleeding side, watching as the last few flames dwindle down around us. I fight back the tears as I look towards the people I had grown to call my family, scattered around the ashen wasteland. The smell of burning flesh and iron fill my nose, the smell of dead people surrounding me.
My heart aches as I stumble forward, searching through the wreckage. Sobs rake my body as I see the people I love, no longer with me. I search for the flanneled bodies I know I'm going to find in the piles. I trip over a foot as I walk, grimacing at the sudden pain shooting through my side.
A slow and low groan comes from somewhere beside me. My head shoots into the direction and I notice a body writhing around slowly, a flannel wrapped around it. I instantly take off, tripping and limping through the wasteland screaming out his name.
I drop to my knees at the body, rolling it over so his head rests in my lap. I stroke his hair, my tears dripping onto his face as they clench his jaw. I feel the last breath leave his lips and I sob, leaning down to press a kiss to them.
Who knew, when I answered that call, I was signing myself up for so much pain yet so much love.

A few things straight off the bat with this story! As stated above, I do not own any characters within the Supernatural franchise, Myra is the only character I claim as my own at the beginning of this story. There may be more coming through out the story and they will obviously stand out within the supernatural characters. Next thing, I have never written fan fiction before so I'm not entirely sure how this is going to go! One last thing for the record... I may or may not have watched season 14 and 15 so I will more than likely not have anything from those seasons in this story until I do end up watching them!
