"Well it looks nice." He says as we make our way to Mrs. Smith's class.
"Thanks. People usually give me weird looks." I tell him honestly.
"They probably look at you like that because of the piercings." He says.
"Oh yeah, maybe. But honestly I don't give a shit about what people think."
"That's a positive way of thinking." I open Mrs. Smith's door open and walk in. Bradley follows me and Mrs. Smith's eyes narrow in on me.
"I told you to go to the front office." She says as she's about to press the button that makes direct contact with the front office.
"And I did. Now I have to show this cowboy around." I tell her as I point back to Bradley.
"Oh well, hello young man. Welcome to our school. Here let me get you a list of things you'll need for the remainder of the school year." She says as she smiles at him. I turn and find Stefano waving me over.
"Whats up?" I ask him as I go sit next to him.
"What's your dad have you doing now?" He asks and I smack the back of his head which only makes him laugh.
"How many times do I have to tell you John isn't my father!" I hiss.
"Yea, but still he acts like a dad. He helps you get out of a lot of shit honestly."
"Not really, but anyway. He has me showing this new kid around the school and town." I tell him as I turn and see Mrs. Smith gawking Bradley. "Ew, she's too old to be blushing at a kid his age."
"Old troll has the hots for the boy." Stefano says with a cackle.
"I should go save him." I tell him and he nods.
"Meet me and the others at the pizza joint?" He asks before I leave.
"I'll see what I can do. I think my mom has a dinner party tonight. I don't really remember." I tell him and he nods.
I go stand next to Bradley and Mrs. Smith looks at me and rolls her eyes.
"I sure do feel sorry for you Bradley. This one here is trouble." She says.
"I'm a smart ass trouble maker though Mrs. Smith. There is no denying that. Let's go kid before this old hag tries to make a pass on you." I say winking my eye at her. She turns a deep red but before she can really yell at me I make my way out the door with Bradley behind me.
"I'm guessing you don't like this teacher?" He asks. I look down at his schedule and see that his second period is my second period as well.
"It's a mutual thing." I say under my breath and begin to walk towards the next class. It seems that we have three classes together and lunch. Having biology, English and culinary which counts as two because of the two period block. I wonder if John did this on purpose or was it an accidental thing.
"So John's your AP as well?" I ask him.
"Yes, my last name is Wilson. Why do you call him John? Is that a rebellious thing?" He asks and I laugh.
"No, you see he's dating my mom so calling him John is easier. That's what I call him at home so why not here?" I say with a shrug.
"Wait you live with him?" He asks.
"No," I say while shaking my head and heading out through the front of the school. The attendance lady waves her hand at me and I wave back. "He lives with us. He began dating my mom when I was only eleven. He moved in when I was about fourteen. His house was caught on fire so he had nowhere to go. And my mom thought it was better and easier if he just lived with us. He agreed and now we all live together." I say as I take my keys out my bag and unlock my 1971 Chevy Camaro.
